They're still currently storming through the US but Girls have taken the time out to confirm another set of tour dates, this time for the UK and Europe in early 2010. They begin on February 22nd in Brighton and continue for eighteen dates, finally finishing on March 17th in France.

Tonight's song comes from John O'Regan, and his indie-pop/electronic-folk (yeah I'm genre tagging something electronic-folk) side-project Diamond Rings; his main project is fronting the Toronto-based indie-rock act The D'Ubervilles. As far as I can tell, the ridiculously charming All Yr Songs can only be found on a 7-inch vinyl split-release featuring Diamond Rings and Kingston, Ontario's PS I Love You. Unfortunately, said release has been sold out and I have no leads on how to get more music from Diamond Rings. If anyone has any information on a forthcoming release from the band, let me know. I'm feeling quaint today. That is, I'm in a bit of an 80's way, which doesn't exactly compute with my standard MO. Maybe it's because anything 80's is now at least 20 years old and that's my watermark for feeling nostalgic. I permed my hair, had two piercings in my left ear and wore short sleeve shirts rolled up to the shoulder, had a haircut like George Michael. I found this old demo over at The World Forgot a few weeks back, and have been playing it pretty heavily recently, especially given my recent obsession with all things Julian Casablancas .
