
Lots and lots of great shows this week. Friday and Saturday night the We No Fun compilation party is going down at The Drunken Unicorn. Thursday night the Band Together 2009, a benefit for Refugee Family Services, is happening at The Earl. Atlanta's 13 Day Mission just released an album comprised of assorted improv sessions and jammers they have recorded over the last two years. It is a sprawling, non-cohesive collection that highlights the many dimensions to this very talented post-prog instrumental outfit. They are using a variation of the pay-what-you-want model, offering the album at a donation of either $5, $10, or $15. Miles From Pangea One of the many things I love about the Atlanta music scene is the sense of community that is very prevalent between artists, and everyone else associated with it.
