. Is this really happening? We now live in an age where 2Pac holograms are headlining the biggest festival in the country.. No one can ever die now. I do not know how I feel about this. On one hand, I am blown away by this.. on the other, it's corny as fuck. I am going to the Kurt Cobain hologram show. Ikon the Verbal Hologram can literally be a fucking hologram. I killed way to many brain cells this weekend. I don't need [...]

Thank evolution for modern technology, as last night a well-executed hologram of the late Tupac Shakur shared the stage with Death Row mates Snoop Dogg & Dr. Dre. 'Pac ran off a quick version of "Hail Mary" followed by the classic duet with Snoop "Gangster Party"...pretty cool, and damn right they made the 15-yr-old passed rapper still ripped as all hell.
Here he is, for anyone who hasn't seen it, the 2pac Coachella performance. What do you think? It's actually a bit touching: having Pac end the show, rather than simply appear, made it feel as if he'd dropped down from the netherworld to be with us all for a moment. It's certainly strange to see, and the decision to have him essentially disintegrate at the end is the perfect cold reminder that no matter what technology we develop, he's gone. Eminem also popped through. He began, somewhat disapointingly, with "I Need a Doctor", but [...]
Dr. Dre & Snoop Dogg headlined the last night of Coachella 2012. The rap legends brought in 50 Cent, Eminem, Warren G, Kurupt, Kendrick Lamar, Wiz Khalifa and incredibly, a Holographic 2Pac for help. It was a crazy set. After hearing the news that Nate Dogg would be resurrected via hologram for Coachella, watching the Live Stream was a little confusing, because instead of a hologram, we got a picture slideshow. Then this happened. Now what? Will Kurt Cobain and Jimi Hendrix headline Lollapalooza? Is Hologram 2Pac going to go on tour? Can he be on Detox ? How did they get him to say, "What's up Coachella?" Does Hologram 2Pac have a soul? This is all too much to think about now. Watch Hologram 2Pac perform at Coachella below.

Gotye and Kimbra both showed up on Saturday Night Live handling the musical duties for Josh Brolin. The first thing that came to mind when watching Brolin as host is that this guy was the punk brother from "the Goonies." Crazy. While on the east coast, Gotye checked in with David Dye from World Cafe for a four track session that you can check out over here . Keep in mind that this US media blitz had Gotye travel back to Coachella for his Sunday show. I never understood the allure behind watching festivals [...]
Espectacular.

Hologram Tupac Warren G, 50 Cent, Eminem . They're all artists you'd expect to join Snoop Dogg and Dr. Dre during their set at 2012 Coachella Music Festival last night. But Tupac Shakur ? Uh, no way. Well, the late, great rapper did indeed join Snoop and Dre on stage... as a hologram. The all-too-real-looking Pac hologram, which was shirtless, wearing Pac's signature saggy pants and Tims, and sporting all of Pac's iconic tattoos, blew the crowd's minds as he rapped "Hail Mary," then traded verses with [...]
When we reported on Dr. Dre's plans to feature a reanimated Nate Dogg, in the form of a hologram, this writer joked about the idea of a 2pac appearance - I hardly thought it could really happen, with all the red tape surrounding any decision regarding Shakur's legacy. Well, it seems just that is set to occur, as L.A. radio station KROQ confirms, with Pac's image set to appear for a rendition of "California Love". Weird, huh? The concert is also said to boast Eminem, Kendrick Lamar, Warren G, Kurupt, Daz Dillinger, and even fellow weed connoisseur Wiz [...]

Slapping this song on a recent vacation to Arizona on the radio brought me into that right mind state. Do For Love - Tupac

Beach time, respectable beats, with more integrity and class than a back to back incarceration of Celebrity Juice on replay. Sound Remedy goes Chill Out.. just breathtaking! 2PAC feat. TYCHO – F*** All Y'all (Sound Remedy Mashup)

When we previously heard from otherworldly producer RAJA, he was in the midst of a heavy output cycle that featured one hell of a free project in Red . And because he's obviously so giving, the talented young beatsmith has given away another gem in Remixes . The fittingly titled project features - yeah, you guessed it - a slew of remixes. RAJA has taken on cuts like Nas' "You Know My Style" and Kanye West's "We Major", both of which are turned into screwed, ice-cold bangers. Stream and download the project below. [...]

Sound Remedy always drops freakishly hot mash-ups, but this new one is luke warm, in my opinion. I'm a huge fan though so I can't deny releasing the track. Sound Remedy remixes 2pac and Tycho for the track, "Fuck All Ya'll." Download: 2pac VS. Tycho - "Fuck All Ya'll" Sound Remedy Remix 2PAC - Fuck All Y'all Feat. Just in time for Easter, a mash-up called "Fuck All Y'all" has arrived. It's always the most unexpected mash-ups that do the most damage, but really, dropping a track called "Fuck All Y'all" featuring 2Pac vocals on Easter? This was bound to be a success. ( Indie Shuffle )
Gift of Gab's Next Logical Progression is admirable for embracing reason and maturity in hip-hop, yet does little to advance the art form.

Um, what? Not even going to try to explain this new cover art for Asaad's "Boss Status." Here's what he had to say about it: "I want to take this opportunity to explain, in my own words, the picture depicting two artists, whom I consider to be legends and arguably the greatest to ever bless the mic, engaging in homosexual activity. We are now in the day and age where this is no longer considered a taboo. But that is not the main reason why I choose this picture. Throughout the inception of the music business, artists [...]
