Hailing from all of the way across the world in Queensland, the Aussie swamp rock musician 8 Ball Aitken grew up as a humble banana picker. During the Australian showcase during Canadian Music Week I had a brief conversation with a performer named 8 Ball Aitken. At the time he described his sound as "swamp music". It's been a couple of months but I've finally had the chance to listen to Aitken's album Rebel With a Cause.With the exception of "Black Swamp Creek", The album never really approaches the sludge and grit that the swamp
