I recently stumbled across this little purple indie gem. 800BELOVED is definitely got some of that whole 80's synth post-punk vibe to it, but it also is very mature sounding. Shoegaze ist in. Nicht nur bei mir, sondern auch bei so mancher Band. Wie zum Beispiel den aus Michigan stammenden 800beloved , die die atmosphärische Dichte des NoisePop mit Ride- und Jesus & Mary Chain-Knackigkeit kombinieren und eine dunkel-wohlige Gesamtstimmung erzeugen. Ihr Debütalbum «Bouquet» ist gerade erschienen (endlich – die Band existiert immerhin schon seit 2005!) und schafft das Kunststück, von vorne bis hinten die Spannung zu halten und den Hörer zu beglücken.
