Prolific London based SynthWave artist 80s Stallone has released a couple of new track in the past week. We've seen an increase in output from 80s Stallone in the past few months, and each one has been a synthesizer gem. check out his new two. 'Electric Nights' is an awesome track, possible 80's Stallone's best to date, and that's really saying something. There's something just so involving about 'Electric Nights' thick layers of synths and it's resonant, haunting lead. It's SynthWave, optimistic style, moving slightly away from the soundtrack influenced sound into something more Poppy, more [...]

Later this month Dutch vintage Disco and synth outfit L'Equipe Du Son release their new single 'Playground Rebels' on Silhouette Music. I've really loved L'Equipe Du Son's releases so far, but this may just be the best one yet. Strap in for some 80's awesomeness. 'Playground Rebels' is a bright shiny slab of Electro Boogie that nicely mixes up a retro ElectroPop flavour with an undercurrent of B-Boy Electro (and a nice Wild Style sample). The track rests an a Breakin; beat and some positively huge synth stabs that have just the tiniest bit of swing. [...]
Here's some atmospheric and nostalgic synthesizer work from retro synth genius 80s Stallone in the form of his latest track 'Out Of The Water'. We're loving the vintage drum machine sounds in this one, the provide a nice robotic Yazoo-esque SynthPop backing for a track full of mystery. Mr. Stallone lets dreamlike riffs weave in and out of each other and swirl around an Italo bassline making beautiful, rich layers of sound. It's quite understatedly majestic too, like the soundtrack to the shimmering city lights of a dystopian metropolis. [...]

La.Ga.Sta.'s new Mix O'Clock has arrived: 58 minutes, nine tunes, many destinations. It features great tracks from John Talabot, Gucci Vump, Kris Menace, The C90s, and more. Yes, Wednesdays can be fun too. Total driving time: 58 min 26 sec. Let's groove on. [6:52] Satin Jackets: "Got To Be Love" [Instrumental] [ mp3 ] [6:24] 80s Stallone: "Beach" [L'Equipe du Son Remix] [ mp3 ] [7:40] Mario & Vidis: "Changed" [John Talabot's Private Mix] [ [...]
Released next month on Silhouette Music is the new EP from SynthWave maestro 80s Stallone . The 'Beach' EP's title track is a thing of pure joy. Waves of nostalgia wash forth from vintage synth sounds creating this feel good, slightly Italo, vibe. I don't know whether it's the bouncy mid-'80's bassline or the SynthPop melodies, but there's just something about this track that captures everything we love about retro synthesizer music, and put a smile on our faces while it does it. We covered the Jan Hammer-esque flipside a few months ago Cliffhanger and [...]
![Silenx – Kaleidoscope EP [Boombar Music] (2011)](http://cdn.elbo.ws/posts/3961357_lg.jpg)
Check out the first two demos from stardate the latest project from the mind that brought you 80s Stallone . His mission to give him self some freedom defined only by the use of hardware synths. I don't know if he'll thank me for posting these demos, and EP is on the way but these are his first experimentations within his new parameters, but I couldn't help myself, as a fan of electronic music these two tracks were too good to pass by. 'Universal Pilot' is at once ominous and uplifting, with these two roles [...]
More soundtracking to the greatest movie Sylvester never made from 80s Stallone . If only the original move had a soundtrack so sweet! 80's Stallone is in full retro synth mode here with a selection of bright chords and infections riffs. You can imagine Mr. Stallone sitting in a studio with a movie playing, Jan Hammer style, whilst writing as the track has a real narrative feel to it. Just not sure Cliffhanger would have been that move, more excellent SynthWave from 80's Stallone nonetheless. ♫ 80s Stallone - Cliffhanger [...]
' Paradise Alley' is the new tune from retro synth stalwart 80s Stallone . Names, unsurprisingly, after a let 70's Stallone movie, 'Paradise Alley' is an arpeggio fuelled synthesizer odyssey with some nice atmospheric echoing. A soundtrack of determination, 80's Stallone boarders on training montage with this tune, with an uplifting and inspiring progression, whist keeping a cool 80's vibe going on. ♫ 80s Stallone - Paradise Alley Buy 80s Stallone's music from: [...]
80s Stallone - IV I'm not a super big fan of the Rocky movies, but I would have to say that the first one is my favourite. I've got a feeling that's not a very controversial opinion and probably an incredibly dull thing to say. I'm guessing 80s Stallone prefers the fourth movie from '85 with Dolph Lundgren as Ivan Drago, Rocky's Soviet adversary. London's 80s Stallone was on the massive Masters of the Universe 2 compilation a while back. Check out more of him over at our [...]

this stuff is just over the top. 80s stallone creates a simple but oh so beautiful theme. A theme that makes your mind wonder back, and think, ah, those were the days. And according to 80s Sly, those days really were the days. Whether it's the Cobra days, the First Blood days, or the Nighthawks days. He continues to create the most wonderful themes, with synths that just scream 80s commercial, and basslines that gets everybody ready for action. The Nighthawks EP has been released for free, and contains some really good remixes, from 80s Movies [...]

Peng Peng! Lets Get Invisible took our countless golden stereos by storm and drop a compilation of remixes, that made us proud and happy to listen! Easy words, cuz it's an easygoing package of sunbeams NYC is pumping through the koax. The first remix compilation 'P/L/A/Y/B/A/C/K' feat. the previously unreleased 'Viewers Like Minitel Rose ' pops in like the most lusciuos feast you could enjoy with your most adorable friends. We could post a million lines about the remixes by - inter alia - Discoballistic , Turbo P , 80s Stallone , [...]

Remix compilations are usually a pain to get through with an endless line of so-so remixes to get through with a couple of memorable tracks in there if you're lucky. Lets Get Invisible were brave enough to create a compilation with remixes of their tracks Viewers Like You and The Jump Back , that was surprisingly easy to get through. And that cover is just awesome! They already sound like they never realized that the 80's are over (that's a compliment in this case) and fortunately, the remixers were clever enough to more [...]
Hace unos dias tuve la sorpresa de que, de la nada, surgio una entrevista con un productor frances que ha estado sonando mucho en mis playlists ultimamente. Se trata de ILLAPA. La cosa estuvo muy interesante y fue asi... Among all the new music you can find easily today on the web, some of the most interesting is the one made by a group of artists, from different labels, different countries and different continents that are connected by one single thing, loving and being inspired by all the sounds an icons of the late 80's pop culture.
