Bomarr Blog super friend Edison from San Francisco just released this Full Mustafa project via the 900bats site. He says: "yodels brodels… been sitting on this lil' project for a few months… it is 20 beats of flipped and bugged out psych rock… shit your uncle hippy wished he had heard while he was ripping tubes in his teenage flower powered sweaty VW bus… just in case the listeners [...]
Since the release of his People Are Bad Animals back in February, Edison has kept himself busy by creating a few mixtapes for 900Bats , and his latest release, the Dehydrated Water EP. According to the man himself: "I guess the only thing to say about it… is it was all made this week… and each beat has a snippet of random old horror radio broadcasts… sting nuts!" [via 900Bats ] To give you a taste of the 5-track EP, check out [...]

This track was featured on the Rhymesayers Entertainment Record Store Day vinyl picture disk. Rumor has it there will be a limited amount of manufacturer overruns available soon at the Fifth Element Online store. PREVIEW: Atmosphere - Which Way Is Up? Feat. Aesop Rock [...]

Aesop Rock just dropped a new tune hilariously titled "Take A Titty Out". According to 900 Bats , this song is set to appear in Ace Norton 's short film Dewana's Bridal . My guess in a strip club scene? Anyways, check out the track in the player below and if you are a true Jukie or hip hop head, don't take the song's lyric content seriously and get upset saying Aes fell off. It's all in good fun or as Aesop would say, "Enjoy. And don't get your shmanties in a bunch." [...]

Continuing on with his bat-themed beat tapes, Edison has released El Guapo , his third installment into the 900 Bats series. Oddly enough, the mix was thrown together when the Bay-area producer stumbled upon 40 minutes of beats in a folder on his computer. In case you missed them, don't forget to check out Edison's first and second beat tapes here ! DOWNLOAD :: Edison - El Guapo Bat Tape the Third [...]

Aesop Rock has released a 'butchered' version of Grimace Federation's first single "Bosico." Video makers and 900bats contributors Alexander Tarrant and Justin Metros shot a video in San Francisco for the track with the help of Aesop Rock, Cage, artist Jeremy Fish, and Jeremy's badass van. Check out the video and download the track below. Grimace Federation - "Bosico" (butchered by Aesop Rock)
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v =PQkbri0v5Js Aesop Rock does things the right way. He keeps it low pro and periodically pops up a few times a year to murder guest spots, while laboring intensively on his full lengths, which have been uniformly excellent (I will ride hard for Bazooka Tooth if pressed.) None Shall Pass dropped nearly three and a half years ago, but if you listen close enough its impact still reverberates. Danny Brown and Nocando have both told me that they memorized every word, and Zilla Rocca remains the best abstract [...]

If you have yet to become hip to 900Bats , the time is now. The website puts a large focus on Bay area artists (musicians and actual artists alike) and churns out some real great music from time to time. A solid example of these dope jams would be the two bat-themed beat tapes the Bay Area proucer Edison created for the site. In regards to his first mix, Edison said "this here 30 minutes of bump is all beats, bat noises, eighties 1-900 commercials and the sounds of torches." The tracklist can be found [...]

Check it out people! 900 Bats just posted up an unmixed version of the Hail Mary Mallon track "Meter Feeder!" Being that I am a big Aesop Rock and Rob Sonic fan, I am really wanting to hear more from this project. In the past we have brought you the video for "D-Up" but that is pretty much all that is floating around the interwebs regarding the duo's current work. Regardless, it is great to hear Aesop back [...]

Since Aesop Rock still operates within the ideal that hip hop is and should remain an "outsider art", the impresario/rapper/Def Jux member has gone to the next level of creative support, saying "In an effort to supply a sandbox for what I hope proves to be a multifarious and growing mix of contributors, I, with [...]
