The "Transparent Mind" EP by A Sagittariun was a real surprise treat when it first landed at HQ. Not knowing the artist but recognising some of the remixer names I thought I had a rough idea where we were going. None of that obvious nonsense though as the opening track "Eye Against Eye" hits you with breaks and DnB at a pace that the low slung synth line can keep up with. Cue remixes from Marco Bernardi that take the track and turn it upside down with a straight techno vibe with acid topping. [...]

The Elastic Dreams boss and heavyweight producer is releasing the Born Under 22 Stars EP next month following a power riddled foundation laid by the labels few previous releases. Also following up his Carina EP, A Sagittariun has a high expectation placed on his anonymous sounds. The Bristol based producer can seemingly do no wrong, exploring some more interesting textures throughout the record, perhaps most notably on Wind Tunnel which stands out as a dark horse tune that will push it's way [...]

[Elastic Dreams] The Circle Stops Somewhere is the debut 123 from both A Sagittariun and the Elastic Dreams label. It's a fairly out-of-the-blue record, and its press release says as much: "no bullshit, deep and dark electronics...that is all." This tight-lipped techno attitude isn't a very original selling point, but everything's got to begin somewhere, I suppose. And fortunately for Elastic Dreams, the record comes with another selling point - a remix by Mike Dehnert as MD2. [...]
