Philadelphia dream-pop band A Sunny Day in Glasgow are currently mixing their new album. While we wait, bassist Ryan Newmyer has begun sharing tracks off his side project, Roman à clef. "PSBTV" is a playful twee-accented spin on his band's immersing sound. Delightfully affable in composition and lyrical content, this can be enjoyed by both fans of A Sunny Day in Glasgow and those who find their albums more difficult to process.

I saw this list the other day and felt compelled to make a more comprehensive, accurate, and essential rundown of albums that have truly stood out in a musical and historical sense. Albums that are influential, groundbreaking and still memorable. And let's be clear that bands like Galaxie 500, Mercury Rev, Verve, Mazzy Star, etc., these are all great bands that have produced some astounding work, but they are definitely not shoegaze. It's obviously way too early to rank the new MBV album so I'm not even gonna go there. [...]

The band will then head back into the studio with Uniform Recording's Jeff Zeigler to finish up mixing their new album, which hopefully means their drought of [...]

With some of us, the way to guarantee we'll do something is by telling us not to do it. So yesterday afternoon, when Philly-bred electronic pop band A Sunny Day in Glasgow tweeted "new ASDIG side project sneak peak wasntwisnt.bandcamp.com you should not listen to it.", of course the first thing I did was go ... Bassist ... Continue reading

Another word that a lot of bands use in their names these days: sun. As in Sun Araw , Sun Airway , Sun O))) , Sun Kil Moon , Empire of the Sun , etc. and that's not even taking into account those bands like Treefight for Sunlight , Sunny Day Real Estate , A Sunny Day In Glasgow , Sunset Rubdown , Sunset and such who have some kind of variation on the word sun in their name. Then again, the sun is a pretty [...]
