Mysterious Athens, Greece one-man project A Victim Of Society returns with another eerie, gloomy tune that's strangely upbeat, to be placed somewhere close to 50s rock'n'roll heyday with a few subtle cold wave influences. I have to say I'm becoming quite a fan of that distant, rasping voice of his. Really great track, hope there's gonna be a proper release anytime soon.

A Victim Of Society is a one-man low-fi project out of the original Athens (that's Greece, kiddies, not GA) with a sound that approximates what Can might have sounded like had Trent Reznor ever been given an opportunity to front the seminal Krautrock unit. There's not much to learn about the enigmatic Athens, Greece lo-fi project A Victim of Society on the net apart from a rather cryptic tumblr and exactly two tunes up on Soundcloud , yet both of them clearly suggest that we should keep an eye on this unknown artist. Fake Friends is a nicely dark, upbeat lo-fi banger, with a vocalist whose raspy, restless crooning is occasionally pretty reminiscent of Alex Zhang Hungtai aka Dirty Beaches ' style.
