One guy who slips past in my iTunes library is Aaron Espe. He doesn't really "slip past" as I have in a few playlists at all times, but he has a couple of albums that are so solid, great sounding and straight forward indie-folk-pop but that aren't getting the attention they deserve. This is the kind of singer songwriter that builds terrific songs that might be able to have more "bite", but that doesn't seem like the point when listening. Sure other bands or artists may get attention that way, but where [...]

I think the title of this post says it all. I just might be a bit jealous of all the great times, artists, shows that are going to be happening this week in Austin. Well, I am not there, and if you are, I hope you have a great time with many of my heroes and fellow bloggers. So it is just Tuesday Morning for me. Just another Tuesday morning. Just the Tuesday prior to the official start of SXSW. So to commemorate this non St. Patrick's day moment: Aaron Espe - " Tuesday [...]

Here we are with more great lists, lists of great music and from great friends. The good folks over at You Crazy Dreamers (of which I blog for as well - check us out!!) have provided a list of some solid music from the last year. The list while put together from Olivier, with input from the team that includes Laura, Martin, Trini and myself. Despite the fact that we span 4 countries and 2 continents, we still connect on a regular basis if for nothing else then the sharing of great music. But [...]
Cecilia ? Do you remember ? Simon and Garfunkel ! You've got it ? Are you able to sing it on your own ? ' Cecilia, you're breaking my heart, you're shaking my confidence daily... Oh Cecillia... Well at least you've tried and so did I. Small Town intro notes reminded me this old favorite but after checking to it carefully... it doesn't pass the second test. May memory failed ? No matter. If you've never experienced the music of Aaron Espe, this pseudo-memory is a good starting point. [...]

01 - UCLA's Awaken Accapella - "Hide And Seek" (Imogen Heap Cover) . Two days ago, this magically appeared in my inbox courtesy of a friend . I don't have a clue about it except to say that it is amazing and gives me pleasant memories of The OC Season 2. | Website | Purchase | 02 - Brilliant Fanzine - "One In 10,000" . Lame band name, amazing intro. Who starts songs with " And "? Genius. [...]

"Don't come around tonight, I don't want to fight you..." We're lucky here in Minneapolis. Really lucky. Our cup runneth over with musical talent. My most recent find? Aaron Espe . His down-tempo folk stylings are enough to make you swoon, seriously. Aaron's sweet-tempered voice and altogether sophisticated and insightful lyrics couple with his delicate acoustic arrangements to bring you something pretty remarkable. He released and recorded his debut album with the help of local artist Chris Cunningham, which [...]
