The Super Bowl's status as the most elite sporting event in the US can only be rivaled by the marketing that's involved that have non-sports fans watching the pigskin classic. This year's game is a rematch that has two of the largest sports markets in the US with an even more interesting story line that has been brewing that involves the more popular and older sibling of the Giants QB, Peyton Manning and his ability to play or pass a physical. It's long been speculated that the Colts plan on dumping Manning, which is on the wrong [...]
American rock band, Staind, has returned to the music scene with their seventh self-titled album since their inception in 1995. Released on September 13, 2011 through Atlantic Records, "Staind" marks the reemergence of the band's return to the heavy, gritty sound which defined the commercial success of previous albums, "Dysfunction" in 1999, and "Break the Cycle" in 2001. Although some may be alarmed by the roaring vocals by leading frontman, Aaron Lewis, Staind impressively presents their musical ability through the belligerently stroked stringed instruments and maintains a harmonious balance between melody and aggression. On the opening track, "Eyes [...]

Ben Kitterman Ben Kitterman was enjoying a much needed break from the tour in Indiana when I had a chance to catch up with him. Just a few nights before he was 1,500 miles away playing in Biloxi, MS.; a place that holds fond memories for him. Biloxi is the city where he first coupled with the front man of Staind, Aaron Lewis by joining his current tour. Ben is certainly no stranger to music; some of his first memories were of his mother conducting a full musical orchestra. During this time his [...]

Remember that time when you heard a band you really liked on an awesome music site , and then you checked out more of their music and snagged it on vinyl? And then you bought a ticket for you and your buddy to see them at a local joint and bought a t-shirt and 73 from merch stand? And then you wore that t-shirt everywhere and told all of your friends how good that band was and then you bought everything they released and saw them any time they came to your town? No? Well what the [...]

Some people consider it way inferior to their debut album, but I really like it. I get a nice vibe from it, more positive. ( Ludlow L by AaRON ) Filed under: album covers , cherry treats , musics
Not sure how I should explain this one. The song gets me super raged and I have no idea what is going on in the video. Here's a video for "Sleepwalker," a single from Parkway Drive's new album, Deep Blue.
When I first decided I was going to review 3OH!3's new album, Streets of Gold, I thought it was going to be an easy, rape review. You know, one of those reviews where I just rape 3OH!3, but after listening to Streets of Gold I am confused on whether or not I should be taking these kids seriously. Their musical talent doesn't go much further than Fruity Loops and an auto tuner, and songs like "House Party" and "I Can Do Anything" really make you wonder if they are just fooling around. I wouldn't say any of the songs on [...]
Welcome to the first installment of Throwback Thursday. Here at Music Reviews for Idiots by Idiots, we appreciate all eras of music. Some eras more than others, but we thought it was a good idea to take you kids to school and show you some of our favorites. Today we're throwing it way back with this 1966 hit "Under My Thumb," by the Rolling Stones. It first appeared on the Rolling Stones' 1966 album Aftermath, and it still seems fresh and new.
Here's a new video from Disturbed for a song called "Another Way to Die." The song appears on their new album, Asylum. It's pretty political charged, but a very mediocre metal song overall.
3OH!3 sure know how to party. It's too bad they're not very good at making music. Anyways, this song is called "House Party," and it's off their new album Streets of Gold. Look forward to an aggressive review of Streets of Gold in the next week or so. Those with epilepsy, proceed with caution. Disclaimer: Music Reviews for Idiots in no way encourages the watching or listening of this video and song.
Damn! M.I.A. is looking fine in this one. This is her new video for the song "XXXO" from Maya, her new album. The video keeps the world flavor that M.I.A. usually has in her videos, and it's visually pleasing as usual. It isn't really my favorite song off Maya, but the video is very stimulating. Read our glowing review here. "Those are skin tight. How do you get into those pants, baby?"
