This isn't déjà vu, this is just part two. If anyone's counting, this is the second Incan Abraham residency we've had the privilege of presenting. Back in June 2011, the band was just coming into their own as an "up-and-comer" with a few EPs under their belt and a swarm of devoted fans following them from show to show. Since then, they've released yet another fantastic (and free) EP "Ancient Vacation," impressed a hard-to-impress Wiltern audience opening for Liam Gallagher's Beady Eye, and now have been offered one of the prime residency [...]
JEFFERTITTI'S NILE, INCAN ABRAHAM, AND GOTHIC TROPIC ON TUESDAY JAN. 17TH AT THE TROUBADOUR, 9081 SANTA MONICA BOULEVARD, WEST HOLLYWOOD. 8:00PM/ $10/ ALL AGES

In just over a year, the psychedelic indie pop band, Incan Abraham , has recorded three EPs. We recently came across their latest EP through announcement about their CMJ set last month. Needless to say, Ancient Vacation bowled us over. This is one of the best FFF albums featured this year, and an excellent pick up for fans of Animal Collective and Painted Palms . There's plenty of atmosphere, pounding tribal rhythms, and subtle, jazz-inspired fret work on the guitar. There's no "let up" on this release-an excellent EP. Download, [...]

Last week, vocalist for Toronto hardcore band Fucked Up Damian Abraham admitted to Spinner that his days as a regularly touring member of the band could be nearing an end, or at least a rest. Due to the rigors of the road and his toddler son, Abraham (a.k.a. Pink Eyes) concedes that he is tired, and has considered allowing the band to go on without him. "I can't tour anymore," Abraham says. "I don't want to take that away from them, so I would love to find a way to basically make it [...]
The New York clothing company Mishka has already earned a certain place in my heart for distributing great rap mixtapes like Mr. Muthafuckin' eXquire's Lost In Translation , Main Attrakionz' 808s & Dark Grapes II , and Stalley's Lincoln Way Nights . Now, the company deepens its musical connection with a new promo video in which musicians like Fucked Up frontman Damian Abraham and house revivalists Azari & III rock the clothes. High Park, Zed's Dead, and Jokers Of The Scene also show [...]

Pitchfork have posted an animated short, starring Damian Abraham of Canadian punk outfit Fucked Up . Over the course of the three and a half minute long clip, Damian recounts the tale of the first time he got stitches, after smashing a pint glass into his forehead during a show in Calgary. As well as offering the basic narrative, Damian also offers tips on best practice for the smashing of pint glasses against one's forehead, and lauds the benefits of socialised medicine, two topics which are, in the case of this particular event, somewhat intertwined. [...]

[NEW EP] Incan Abraham: Ancient Vacation Close to this time last year I was introduced to Incan Abraham at The Pantry Party’s annual Texas Fire House shindig. Make sure not to miss out this Saturday, Oct 15th. All proceeds go to local food pantries. As I was saying, Incan Abraham came from L.A. to play CMJ and played at the Texas Fire House as well. I’ve been a passionate supporter since seeing them there. There are few bands that live up to their recorded sound. Incan Abraham manages to exceed [...]

Download: Jesse Abraham "Connections" We’ve all taken advantage of connections to better our situations, be it a job, a hook up at your local bar or maybe even a connection that allows you to further your musical dreams. Jesse Abraham delivers his view on his connections, and what connect us all, on the aptly titled Connections, from the re-release of the DJ Booth hosted and released One Day LP. The K.O. Tonight's things: ► I love lyric videos, because, well, you know, I might miss a magical turn of a phrase or something. So in honor of her sold-out show at the Troubadour tonight, there's the clip for Christina Perri's "Arms," which, along with other hits "So You Think You Can Dance" made famous, appears on her album "Lovestrong," which came out in May. HoneyHoney and Sarah Ault support, and they're well worth early arrival. ► Wedding singer Ellie Goulding — we kid, of course; it was the [...]

Chicago Tribune (MCT) -- Damian "Pink Eyes" Abraham, the roly-poly singer in Toronto's F----- Up, spends a lot of his time at the band's concerts in the audience, doing everything from climbing on chairs and tables to munching on beach balls. In the band's early days, he thought he needed to be threatening and verbally abusive to get the crowd going, but something changed when he saw the "exciting, positive energy" at an Andrew W.K. show. "That was a...
