For some reason this program seems to run fractionally too fast. Not enough to spoil your enjoyment but nevertheless it does. I would correct it but I have neither the ability or the software to execute such a technical task, but like I say it's hardly noticeable. What you will notice on this program however is the fact that is is broadcast from the Scottish City of Glasgow. I think it was something to do with their Sound City 94 celebrations. I had some recordings from that event but the mists of time seem to have hidden them somewhere. [...]

This sink measures 33 by 27 by 7 inches. The kitchen sink. I could do this for another month and still barely scratch the surface of stuff I want to post. I won't though. Instead I'm going to throw a big ole pile of songs at you. All of this is stuff I love, and most of it is stuff I'd never get a chance to blog about normally. Just press play. AC Acoustics - I Messiah, Am Jailer [...]

This will now go back in the cupboard for another year Right then, last session, I think I've assaulted you enough for one day. Back to Scotland for our final session, with a.c. acoustics. I'm never sure if that should be uppercase or lowercase, all one word, or with punctuation, so I've made a guess. They were a band that always threatened to bother the mainstream, but in the end never did. What they did do before splitting in 2003 was leave behind a quartet of cracking albums in the shape of [...]

What financial gain Fire Records expect from putting out an extended version of the third album by AC Acoustics , beloved by Peel but not that many others, ten years on is moot, but at least it allows us to rediscover a band who in their own sphere defined the boundaries of 'thereabouts'. Around Understanding Music 's first release in 2000 there were plenty of young British bands who in their assorted ways learned from the grunge fallout but understood that it needed something other, louder and messier - Seafood, the Llama Farmers, Cay, early Idlewild. What AC [...]
