This past weekend at KROQ's Weenie Roast , Linkin Park's Chester Bennington stepped into Scott Weiland's shoes as the new singer for Stone Temple Pilots. Judging from the lukewarm chaos that ensued online, it's not a decision that's been accepted with "Open Arms" . That inspired us to list our top five best and worst replacement singers in music history. Now, mind you, we wanted to keep each choice to one name - otherwise we would have just listed every Dead Kennedys frontman that didn't go by Jello Biafra - so hopefully that clears up some confusion. If you're like us, you probably couldn't quite stifle a rueful sigh at the news earlier this week that a woman in Colorado was arrested for assaulting her boyfriend after he refused to stop blasting Macklemore's "Thrift Shop" on the stereo. It seems there've been several such reports of late, and while there's nothing funny about domestic assault, the whole thing did get us thinking about songs that have managed to get their fans into hot water. We decided to investigate further, and came up with this selection of music that has landed fans in trouble in various amusing, ridiculous, [...]

In no particular order other than the order in which they popped into my head... "Double Vision" Foreigner (No. 2, 1978, from Double Vision ) The problem with being a rock & roll band that had its biggest hits with power ballads ("Waiting for a Girl Like You" and "I Want to Know What Love Is," Foreigners only No. 1 U.S. single) is that it makes it easy for people to forget how great you sounded in the vicinity of crashing guitars. If I'd forgotten about Foreigner's considerable rock might, I received a bracing [...]
Beer and rock have always been coupled together much like copious amounts of beer and "great" decision making have. AC/DC have decided to make your life easier by bringing you both the alcohol and the jams under just one name (much like a few big name bands have in the past)! I'm just gonna come ... Compressorhead, the all-robot band that previously covered “Blitzkrieg Bop” and "Ace of Spades," has now added AC/DC's "T.N.T." to their catalogue. They also seem to have amassed a solid following, who clap and cheer very enthusiastically despite the fact that, y'know, these are robots and they have neither knowledge of nor any care for such kudos. See? [...]

HT faves Sister Sparrow and the Dirty Birds have recently taken to covering AC/DC's Back In Black, the title track off the Aussie rockers' 1980 iconic album. Front woman Arleigh Kincheloe crushes the vocals Brian Johnson made famous while Jackson Kincheloe simulates Angus Young's signature guitar work using an overdriven harmonica. The group tweeted a kickass video of the cover, as well as their original Dirt, at us. Check it out...
The Darkness = Genius? Novelty? Mediocre? Pack of douchelords that even Lemmy doesn't dig though his bumchum Dave Grohl is happy to get in their big shot?
See if you can name all fifty guitarists on this poster
"OMG I have to get that movie's soundtrack asap it's awesome!!" -- No one, 2013

Signed and Sealed in Blood , the new album from the Dropkick Murphys , is the latest in a discography filled with Celtic-infused punk for the working class. Expanding on the band's 2011 album Going Out in Style , the album features a mix of ballads and rockers that should please longtime fans. Where Going Out in Style was a concept album about a fictional musician, Signed and Sealed in Blood eschews any attempt at a [...]
