Ok, so we've got the original of the track that appeared to be so uber popular when we posted it a few months back. The King of Kong remix was an absolute monster, the original is for very late... Mysterious duo Acid Washed joined Record Makers to release their debut ep on November 23rd. The release features "General Motors, Detroit, America" and "Snake" with remixes from Gavin Russom (DFA) and Blackstrobe, respectively. Not quite sure if "General Motors, Detroit, America" is about the car industry or "just" six minutes of brilliant spaced out synth. Acid Washed - "General Motors, Detroit, America" And you may remember Acid Washed already created a small flurry over this Sebastien Tellier remix. Love animal sounds: Sebastien Tellier - [...]

Acid Washed are the next premiers of fine electronic music, albeiting in raucous affairs of modern and vintage audio equipment, dining on exquisite foods and entertained by spooky nightlife in the dark comfort away from the busy lights. Further matchmaking with friends Lippie (Because/Wagram), Christian Kreuz (Get Physical/Dakar), Christophe Chassol (Phoenix/Sebastien Tellier Collaborator), Barbara Panther and last years DFA compilation-er Xaver Neudascher mean Acid Washed have fused a fervent of elements ranging from french house, electric funk, choral pop and DFA disco. Saddled up to Parisian label Record Makers (home to AIR, Sebastien Tellier, DSL, Kavinsky, TURZI) 'Snake' [...]
"A lot of people think it was shot in Tokyo, but it's actually shot in Shanghai. I feel there is a strange sadness and violence in this city. It's as if in Shanghai the past is being destroyed really fast to make way for the modern way of life. I enjoy shooting faces and cities: before doing cinema, I used to be an architect so I have a special relationship with architecture. This video was influenced mostly by Michael Mann's style of directing, the way he shoots cities and uses music (see 'Manhunter, 'Heat' or 'Collateral'). The sound of Sébastien's [...]
Too beautiful to blemish this heavenly belle with any human word. artist: Sebastien Tellier remixer: Boys Noize track: L'Amour et la Violence director: Johann Bertelli label: Record Makers Mp3: Sebastien Tellier - L'amour et la Violence [Boys Noize Euro mix] Bonus Mp3: Sebastien Tellier - L'Amour et la Violence (Acid Washed Land of Daktari Remix)

Sébastien Tellier's Fingers of Steel + L'amour et La Violence just got released with notable remixes by Boys Noize and Hypnolove, though here's another true gem that didn't make it to the vinyl. Acid Washed are newly signed to the Record Makers label, yet already got a 12" to be released in a month and an album mixed/produced by none other than Xaver Naudascher from Supersoul Recordings (DFA). They have a sound that does remind me of Supersoul and I'd never thought about combining it with Sébastien Tellier, but how great does it turn out to be! [...]

![David Cook Gets Stretched And Acid-Washed [Art?]](http://cdn.elbo.ws/posts/1302568_lg.jpg)
American Idol winner David Cook's post-coronation album drops on Nov. 18, so there's still plenty of time to change this "Make The Pretty Boy Look Tough" album cover. First off, it's pretty clear that they've stretched David, Paula Abdul-style, here—no human being has a head that narrow. Maybe Cook (a pretty good-looking guy!) was packing on the pounds in the offseason, but this picture looks like the photographer forgot to set his camera to widescreen—and that fauxhawk is doing him no favors. Can you say "reservoir tip"? The final touch was adding some [...]
Mega-posts are seeming to become the norm here on Panda Toes. Is that cool with y'all? It is? O.K., good. 'Cause that's all I have time for these days. That said, here are three videos (two good, one bad), a fresh and relaxing remix, and a bomb take on a well-known cinema theme song. I posted the video for Adam Tensta's "My Cool" a few days ago, and I'm still all about that cut. I threw it on the basement mix for my fraternity last night and it set the place off [see: all thirty [...]
