A little while back we announced that little old 'Blah Blah Blah' had been confirmed as a fully fledged partner for Glade 2012 alongside our fellow blogging and label wielding peers Discobelle & Sonic Router . Naturally this piece of news is probably more exciting to us than it is to you, however it does mean that over the next 2-3 months we will be posting all sorts of exclusive Glade related stuff and giveaways, which given the current line up announcement is as good a reason as any to keep checking back. Berlin-based DJ/producer René Pawlowitz's Shed moniker is a constant source of ground-breaking techno. His 2008 debut album "Shedding the Past" elegantly blurred the boundaries between old school rave and contemporary dub-techno. Shed 's rigid, metallic rhythms and exalted atmospherics harken back to 802s Detroit techno, yet, the modern, radical spirit of his music never seems to dissipate. "Shedding the Past" proved to be a highly influential release and the bestowal of 20082s best album by esteemed electronic e-zine Resident Advisor only affirmed "Shedding's" magnitude. 2010 saw the release of Shed 's sophomore LP "The Traveller". One [...]

Those familiar with the dubstep scene may know Anthony Williams as Headhunter. However, Williams is going by a different name now since releasing the track "Footcrab". Now he's Addison Groove, and he's going to drive that fact home on April 3rd when he releases his self-titled debut album under the pseudonym through Modeselektor's label 50WEAPONS. Check out a single, "Sooperlooper", from the new album below. Read more »
Super prolific, juke-inspired artist announces details of debut album on 50 Weapons...

Modeselektor leaked another preview this morning of Addison Groove's forthcoming March 30th release on 50WEAPONS. It's an odd mix of techno, rap, and deep house with a non-4/4 beat structure and disparate percussion elements which have something of a throw-back feel. This classic + offbeat sound is going to be a popular one this year, at least for a brief period until artists manage to overdo it. The news of an Addsion Groove album was greeted with much hype when it was announced several months ago. The man also known as Headhunter, responsible for bringing us "Footcrab", one of the tunes of 2010, has signed up to 50Weapons for his first long player. We haven't got our hands on a review copy as yet, but have tracked down this clip to wet the whistle enough to get even more excited. Its real riddim bumping stuff.

Bridging the gaps between Techno, Dubstep, Grime and House, Addison Groove has been on a constant ascendancy pretty much since he started. The new album for Modeselektor's 50Weapons imprint, 'Transistor Rhythm', promises all new, previously unheard material. The debut full length from Antony Williams, otherwise known as Headhunter, is sure to feature deep, bass-driven Techno and lots of minimalist bleeps and whistles, though that's purely conjecture at this point. The LP has been slated for a March 9 release and will be committed to limited triple-coloured vinyl as well as [...]

Addison Groove 's debut album Transistor Rhythm is done, and ready for release on Modeselektor's 50 Weapons. The 'Footcrab' man will be offering a teaser of a track a week until its release on 2 April. Check out the first, from 'Sooperlooper', below.
Forthcoming on Modeselektor's 50 Weapons label, Transistor Rhythm is the hotly anticipated debut album from Addison Groove , the alias of Headhunter who made a huge splash in 2010 with 'Footcrab'. Slated for a March 30th release, the first snippet of the album was unveiled yesterday in the form of 'Sooperlooper', which you can cast an ear (or two) over below. Personally I think it's a darn corker and I reckon the barn dance will be a-jumpin' when I drop it tonight. Tobias is gonna freak! He'll probably throw his hat in the air again. [...]
Son Raw is basking in the afterglow of Mala's live set last night at Igloofest. Soundcloud snippets don't usually warrant posts around here but Addison Groove's upcoming release on Modeselektor's 50 Weapons label isn't your usual release. As one of the few producers working in England equally adept at deep, sci-fi influenced Dubstep as he is at frantic, dirty Footwork, Antony Williams's latest album (and first under the Addison Groove moniker) could very well be my most anticipated record with a release date and a rare potential consensus builder amidst increasingly fragmenting scenes. All bases [...]

Compiling these "Best of" posts is the most strenuous thing about the "blog game". So basically, since I'm sick of looking at this, just reference our lists to get a general feel for how we vibed out 2011. Also, and I think I can speak for Markus on this one too, the ranking on a lot of our tracks is pretty loose. Thanks and best of luck to you all in 2012.
