Women like silent men. They think they're listening. - Marcel Achard It took a little longer. Well, a lot longer than usual. But this album is like that, it needs time and then it wins in the long run. Vancouver, Canada singer/songwriter Adrienne Pierce is back with the followup to the fantastic 2007 "faultline"-sophomore album and the "winter-EP" of 2008. This time it's a selfproduced album (together with Ari Shine and Marc Wild ). At first you may have a hard [...]
Once in a while there's a voice that just stops you in your tracks. It's usually not the most beautiful voice or the most technically perfect, but there's something about it that instantly endears itself to you. That's what I came across when listening to Oh Deer, the forthcoming third full length album from B.C. singer/songwriter Adrienne Pierce. Pierce's singing is above average. It's

It's nearing the end of 2008, and everybody's putting together and posting their year-end lists. I've yet to decide if I'll do one at all this year. I've already got a doozie of an xmas mix started for next week. After that, there'll be just one more mixtape in 2008! This week, I've got another random jumble of tracks I've collected here at SF central. Mr's Kweller Fred and Andronicus are here, as is Prof. Green and Miss Pierce- it's like a good ole game of Clue! Download and enjoy! [...]

Well, since someone was trampled to death by a hoard of greedy Wal-Mart shoppers last week.. I suppose that means that the Holiday season is now in full swing. With all of the senseless shopping underway, erecting of Christmas trees, and avoiding the mall like the bubonic plague - it's only a matter of time before radio stations trade in their hits for a pair of jingle bells. Some artists embrace the holiday spirit with open arms, releasing singles/CDs with their own favorite renditions or - like singer/songwriter Adrienne Pierce - their own original works. [...]

While I haven't written about Adrienne Pierce in some time, she has been an artist I have followed and enjoyed for some time now. I've come to admire her as a singer and songwriter, but also as a humanitarian for all the causes she has contributed to and supported throughout her lifetime. Her songs have appeared on major television shows such as Grey's Anatomy, Veronica Mars, The Hills, Dirt, Army Wives etc. Adrienne has toured extensively all over North America and the UK, including stops at festivals like SXSW, NXNE, CMW, and NMW and the Toronto [...]
A new post-teen drama attempts to capture the O.C. fanbase.
I have been racking my brain trying to figure out how to write about Adrienne Pierce . Yesterday I had every intention of posting a review, but then I didn't. And today I've been thinking about it and listening to her and wondering how in the world I'm going to be able to describe the way she sounds. That's when it hit me. Adrienne Pierce is indescribable. Her style, her voice...it is like nothing else I have ever heard before. And that is a good thing, a very good thing. She has the voice of [...]
A good song is one that makes me live. One that makes me skip food even if i am hungry. One that makes me write silly things like this, without thinking of the consequences. Adrienne Pierce - Laundry And Dishes.mp3 "Maybe I need to see something grow See black soil, green shoots Maybe I need to touch down I need heavier boots" She's young. But it's a melody that goes right through my heart. Imagine a Dylan-cover. Or perhaps it was just that i had to [...]
