Hell yes. Evidence links up with Sluggo (of Atmosphere ) and Aesop Rock (of the P&P tagline) for this cut off his Cats & Dogs album, out September 27th. As someone with the relatively hipster tendency to only listen to albums as complete wholes, I must say that many hip hop releases stretch the limits of my patience. I don't know what it is about the genre that makes the artists believe that their fans want nothing more than to hear an album full of painfully unfunny skits, garbage attempts at crossover singles, redundant posse tracks, and a slew of '"bonus" songs that weren't good enough to be integrated into the sequence of the actual album so they become tacked on haphazardly at the end. As far as hip-hop goes, the Rhymesayers label is known for getting pretty deep and delving into hip-hop that sometimes borders on emo. That's not the case here. Over the past few years, Aesop Rock , Rob Sonic , and DJ Big Wiz , have performed live together, and even made appearances on each other's solo albums. In 2011, the trio joined forces to release their debut LP under the Hail Mary Mallon moniker, Are Gonna Eat That?. Another day, another fresh video from the hip hop trio that is Hail Mary Mallon (Aesop Rock, Rob Sonic and DJ Big Wiz). Just as they did earlier this year, apparent BFFs Aesop Rock and Kimya Dawson are hitting the road for a joint tour this month. What's different this time around, though, is that they will be showcasing a slew of new material. We previously knew that Aes and Kimya were looking to work together, but it turns out that they are recording an entire collaborative album.
