Continuing the momentum of a successful summer tour, Aesop Rock  has announced more dates in support of his latest album Skelethon , starting October 1 in Detroit with tickets are on sale today. Aesop Rock released yesterday the video to his track "Cycles to Gehanna" off his new album, Skelethon . As Vice described it, it features a "gaggle of badass ballerinas" and a number of SF snapshot ("What up North Beach!?"). Aesop Rock 's beautifully shot new video for ‘Cycles to Gehenna,’ features a dazzling gallery of silhouetted dancers, clouded in smoke and constant motion, and a distant Aesop splitting verses in the dark shadow of a warehouse. The track comes from Aesop’s latest, Skelethon , and truly manages to capture the listener even more with the engrossing video. Check it out below and grab the album today.

Aesop Rock has definitely made his mark on the hip-hop world for one lifetime, both as a producer and an artist, and he's not showing any signs of stopping any time soon.  His latest critically acclaimed album,  Skelethon, came out this past July.  "Cycles to Gehenna" is the third track on the album and the video, an interesting one to say the least, debuted this morning.  I always find music videos fascinating and I feel like they're a very useful tool for artists to use to portray the message of the song to the listener.  Check this video out [...]

Ballet and hip-hop? Sure. Directors Ben Fee and Pete Lee make it work in the video for Aesop Rock's "Cycles to Gehenna," one of the strongest tracks on the rapper's strong return "Skelethon" (Rhymesayers). Aesop Rock's sixth album (and first sine 2007) came out in July, and the imagery and emotion in his prosaic flow is generally all the visual stimuli you need. But with the throttle screwed on there is only the barest margin, and no room at all for mistakes. It has to be done right...and that's when the strange music starts, when you stretch your luck so far that fear becomes exhilaration and vibrates along your arms. I'll go out on a limb and say that Aesop Rock's new video for "Cycles To Gehenna" will be the best video you watch today.  Aesop uses ballerinas that could kick your ass, motorcycles, smoke hazes, and a big beard to add fresh visuals to one of the stand out cuts from his recently released LP, Skelethon .  Watch it below.

Dinosaur Jr. have released a video for their song "Watch the Corners," the first from their forthcoming album I Bet On Sky , due out September 18 via Jagjaguwar. The hilarious and touching video, produced in conjunction with Funny Or Die , stars Tim Heidecker, of Tim and Eric fame, as an overprotecting and loving dad with a model airplane collection and a rebellious teenage daughter.
