The long overdue Spellbinder EP has been on hold from the talented Mr. James Barnsley for well over a year. Today, he finally releases the EP, releasing the built up tension for many DJ's and listeners worldwide. I had the great opportunity of being able to interview the duo, Bastinado. They released their album "The Hard Six" at the end of September. It's done quite well here during WKNC Afterhours, placing in the top 10 most played for weeks. What makes this act very special and unique is their combination of the extremely old and cutting edge. Joseph B. Carringer has been playing the didgeridoo for over 15 years and Josh Harris is helping lead the way into a new era of insturments by performing with a Reactable Table . This odd combination results in intriguing house and dance music [...]

Dopo i numerosi riconoscimenti raccolti con “ Padania ” (dalla Targa Tenco come “Album dell’Anno” al Premio della Critica di Musica & Dischi, dal Premio P.I.M.I. come “Gruppo” dell’anno alla Targa Indie Music Like), il 2013 è per gli Afterhours un anno che inizia all’insegna dei live. Un tour che toccherà le più importanti città e le province, e come sempre vedrà la Capitale protagonista indiscussa della scena musicale indipendente italiana. Gli Afterhours, dopo i numerosi riconoscimenti raccolti nel 2013 con il disco “ Padania ”  dal 2 febbraio tornano ad esibirsi nei club: una dimensione ed un tipo di tensione che mancavano molto al gruppo in Italia, dove negli ultimi tempi si erano esibiti quasi esclusivamente in palasport e durante i tour estivi in arene all’aperto.
