Airbird - City vs Mountains This is one of the few bands where I came away from SXSW remembering. I saw them at the True Panther/Ad Hoc showcase on the last official day, they came on right before one of my favorites Javelin. 3 dudes by way of Brooklyn infusing chilled beats with live drumming, yacht rock saxoph one and phat bass rips. This comes off Joel Ford's 12" on Mexican Summer's Software . If you're not aware, Joel Ford is the partner of 80's pop revivalist Ford & Lopatin .
