Pacific! is yet another clever thing to surface from everyones ambient home sweden. The Orb's 1991 album, The Orb's Adventures Beyond the Ultraworld, was very influential at the time and spawned the timeless hit 'Little Fluffy Clouds'. Using various samples (the most recognisable being the electric guitar from Steve Reich's excellent composition "Electric Counterpoint", and the harmonica sample taken from Ennio Morricone's "The Man With The Harmonica") the original track mixes sound effects, vocal samples, & dubby bass with ambient house. The brandon half of kunk has been on a running kick lately, and as an output of that, decided to saddle up and have a go at Budapest's annual half-marathon last month. To get pumped for the event, in addition to doing the standard carbo-sniffing and gatorade lathering, i threw together a lil' itunes playlist to accompany me for the jaunt.
