Forget the Donuts Only ethos and the slathering deliberations of Stoned and Starving – we're waiting on wines amid the ravaged detritus sat festering in elaborate bakeware inside salubrious east London eatery, the Albion Café. Pies once there steamed, by the seems of it as half-gnawed vegetables sit serenely tucked away under leftover pastry. Parquet Courts are neither stoned (or not that I can tell) nor starving by look of the scrappy carcasses strewn across table though ahead of the third of three London dates in as many days, their finances must make for a more [...]
A track that has been creating some buzz recently and is now time to reveal. Months ago I slowly disseminated this among some disco friends, and it turned out to grow a lot on many, and became a sought-after single. John Kongos is famous also for the 1982 afro-cosmic classic "IMPI", released under that same [...] Related posts Nüüd On Mul Muusika Patrizia Brindani Ciliegie Amare
It's been so great to take part in Camp Cosmic words cannot really describe, and those who attended this fantastic event will remember it for the lifetime. What happens at Camp Cosmic stays at Camp Cosmic, but Overfitting Disco was there spinning and recording! So we granted the permission to give you all a taste [...] Related posts Fourth Birthday Report - The 12-hour-long recording is here! Every DJ in town is talking about it, as it's the one and only underground disco festival all disco aficionados wait for the whole year. We're talking about notable fellow DJ Albion Venables' "Camp Cosmic", that is becoming bigger every year and will be held in Stockholm from 10 to 12 August 2012. The lineup [...] Related posts Overfitting Disco's Birthday Party - Friday Dec. 30, 2011, 20:00 UTC Cosmic Beach Club Vol. 3 Keep On Movin Disco Princess

If a track sounds like something that you’ve heard before, but in actual fact it’s something remarkably different.. it can only be classed as an extremely good thing. GRIZZLY have strengthened that musical minded theory once again, as ‘Genie’ is one of their most pounding and quirkier numbers to date. The Boomzers embrace the mindset that many of us adopt in this industry and much unlike a title such as “Digital Drug” that doesn’t beat around the bush in exemplifying The Boomzers patently loud & heavy chord lines and electro-charged drums, this one is [...]

It seems this video has just appeared out of thin air, so everything I "know" about it is merely assumption. The major names associated with this thing only leads back to this very video when punched into a search engine. The Vimeo account itself only seems to have this one video attached to it. If you have any leads on a Bandcamp or Soundcloud, I'd love to know! Anyway, I know Stephen Thompson is Albion, and I can see that he's both albino and his pseudonym is a play on that. Is he a rapper, or is he [...]

Soooo yeah come along to GoodGod tomorrow night for this blog party thang we're doing with Danimals, Ted & Francis and Matt from Van She. It'll be fuun! Or of Saturday's more your thing, also come to GoodGod for Picnic with Hey Convict! who I've only just recently realised are quite spectacular. I'm way late to the game here but their Time To Noodle mix from 2006 is truly something to behold. After checking out a few of their mixes I'm getting a bit of a Lovefingers meets The Avalanches kinda vibe. Plenty of psychedelic goodies. [...]

Retro/Grade is made up of Serge Santiago and Tom Neville , two great kings in the music industry. Since 2005, Santiago and Neville have been slowly developing and cooking up of what is to be described as a "career-defining album". Their inspiration is taken from a period between disco and house (basically their sound is like the modern day Italo-Disco). Retro/Grade's newest single "Zoid" contains an emotion that constantly builds and builds, quite epic. This will be released in November on vinyl only; look out for it at Juno . This track samples Automat's [...]

I always have liked photobooths. You pop in one, close the curtain, pose and CLICK! Only one minute later you'll have the perfect shot. Even the quality of the pictures is superb. Unfortunately I never had the time to go to one. I don't know why yesterday was any different but my good mate Remy and I went to the central station of Antwerp, hoping to find one. And we did! Here's the result: We had an awesome time. Friendly Fires and Death cab for Cutie [...]
