We like Drummer Boy even if it does just sound like a marching band falling over each other with Alesha shouting all over it. Essentially it's a High School Musical song, which is a good thing, with roll eyeably dull "give it to me" "beat of the drum" lines, which isn't good, but the "Waaa? Hey! Ha!" in the chorus makes it fiercer and the video will surely be brilliant.
Seriously, if they repackaged The Alesha Show and this is The Encore, then it's really not worth. A drab ass fluff ballad that will do nothing to further her career or sales. This is a big disappointment. The deluxe edition better have some more surprises or else it's showbiz suicide. Who on earth would release such a song. Horrid! Picking this song as the third single beguiles me, it's a mediocre dance song with an outdated crunk-ish beat and nothing sticks out about it really. I am still bracing for "Don't Ever Let Me Go" to get the video treatment. Now that I listen to this song again, it sounds a bit Gnarls Barkley, too. Still, blah choice. Even "Chasing Ghosts" would've been a better pick.
The gorgeous Alesha™ is releasing "Let's Get Excited," my favorite not-yet-a-single song from The Alesha Show , as her next single. The video is basically just choreographed group dancing and the occasional shot of a shirtless guy... ...but isn't that what every video would be like if I was in charge? Not my choice for a single. I prefer "Don't Ever Let Me Go."
She's really talented at lip-syncing. I don't think it's a good single choice for the UK charts. She needs to get the Freemasons remix up on it. Or it will murmur down near the 75th position.
Given the whole holiday season, today's post will be (OK, really) short. Lovely Alesha has a new album out and, for me, the main non-single highlight is (so far) this track , a fun quirky up-tempo track that is, oddly enough, the work of an American producer (as well as a co-writer of Rihanna's "Umbrella"). It's a song that few people but Alesha could probably pull off as well as great catchy fun. To buy the album from which this song comes, go here (physical).

She's really talented at lip-syncing. I don't think it's a good single choice for the UK charts. She needs to get the Freemasons remix up on it. Or it will murmur down near the 75th position.

Given the whole holiday season, today's post will be (OK, really) short. Lovely Alesha has a new album out and, for me, the main non-single highlight is (so far) this track , a fun quirky up-tempo track that is, oddly enough, the work of an American producer (as well as a co-writer of Rihanna's "Umbrella"). It's a song that few people but Alesha could probably pull off as well as great catchy fun. To buy the album from which this song comes, go here (physical).
