Monthly Best of the Blogosphere: July 2011
Two important things happened in music this month. First, tracks that people have been speculating would become the festival hits of the summer did (Save the World), others didn't, and still yet some managed to come out of left field (Party Rock). Second, Moombahton gained some notoriety in the popular music hivemind, with plenty of poorly written magazine articles and blog posts titled "WTF IS MOOMBAHTON" proclaiming Dave Nada the father of a new genre, explaining little more than moombahton = Moombah slowed to 108.
