Riding around shining the other day with the iPod literally on shuffle and "Ai Du" came up. After listening to it several times, I started trying to recall why it was on my iPod in the first place. I now know the song's source was Fadia's "WOMi" and her description of the tune as "a song that just dripped sex and passion" is wholly accurate. Unfortunately, it ends on the above arrangement of the traditional Mandé hymn "Kala Djula" -- and that leaves "Heart and Soul" stuck in my head so hard I want to take an axe to a piano .
