My routing when driving to work during the week consists of listening to Mike and Mike in the morning. Their "East Coast" bias is never too large to get in the way of a good story, but the alternative is listening to a mediocre local show on 87.7 the Ticket . Mike and Mike brought up a point that was interesting in the case of Michael Vick. A lot of people expected Vick to be well rested after spending plenty of time in the clink. Those same people didn't expect the second coming of [...]

Editor's Note: There's really no excuse for what you're about to read and the tracks you're about to endure. But if you can't laugh at the fact that the Jonas Brothers are currently all up on Radio Free Chicago, alongside Timber Timbre and Cursive, then... Well... Personally, I laugh to keep from crying. This is what happens when I say "Of course you can make a mix for RFC, Heidi!" Brace yourselves. Okay, so being the roommate of the infamous Amber Valentine, there is never a dull moment, be it deciding to run out [...]

This month's best of the blogosphere post is dominated by dubstep, synth laden dance, and filter disco. I've been gearing up for a series of disco sets, so that might be why I'm feeling it more - hip hop has taken a bit of a backseat for me over the last three weeks, despite my trip down to NYC for Rock The Bells. My favourite song I heard this month is, by far, the new Miami Horror track Holidays - I fully expect this will be one of my favourite jams of the year, and an anthem for my fall. [...]

It's always good to have a little techno, bass-heavy anthem to wake up to on Monday morning. Especially when that track is a remix of arguably the best club track of our generation. Alice Deejay's "Better Off Alone" was absolutely huge when I was in like 5th grade...and this dubstep remix does it justice. According to Wikipedia, Alice Deejay is a Dutch electronic music group, which I find hysterical. Hit the download below, and check out some more of DJ Philistine and Kewl Breez here . Emmure get a lot of shit here, from readers and staff alike, and I often feel like the odd man out for ranking their last record, Felony, among my favorites of 2009. Yet I experienced firsthand the collective love for the band when I caught their engaging, riotous set at the Warped Tour stop at [...]

I was in the Lo outlet the other day, scooping up a few tees for the temperature transition and heard this one come on. "WTF they doing playing Spitta through the speakers in Polo?" Then Alice Deejay's lead vocalist came on singing. I smiled and rapped along. Alice Deejay - "Better Off Alone"
This song is a dedication to Mr Kanye West . Alice Deejay - Better Off Alone

Photo Credit is pretty obvious.... lame. Mind you people, I am only twenty two years of age, so this might not cover the full spectrum, but after a raging weekend I ended up hearing some of the seriously cheesy techno songs that I grew up on, whether at summer camp or a school dance. (haha) I knew at that moment that I had to bring it back hard, and here is a short list of some seriously tacky "bangers" So kick back, lace up those dancing shoes and "get down with the getdown." First person to [...]
Super Mash Bros : Fun mash-up mayhem abound with this group and apparently they sound like "Girl Talk's Hot Cousin" via a statement on their site promoting their new "album" - Fuck Bitches. Get Euros. Simply put: agreed! Classic Mash-up goodies. Great for an all night party. Here's my favorite track thus far: Super Mash Bros - Testarossas For Everyone R. Kelly introduces the song paired with Alice Deejay's [...]
It's just cheesy 90's house music and current pop remixes. Currently, "If I Were A Boy" by Beyonce is getting a fierce remix makeover treatment. And yes, this morning I woke up to Show Me Love. No lie. This needs to be the new Dutch National anthem. Better Off Alone by Alice Dee-Jay In My Arms (Radio mix) by Mylo Never Gonna Give You [...]
