Manchester producer XXXY has taken Sub Focus's single Out The Blue , featuring the lovely vocals of Alice Gold, from strength to strength. Perfect for any dark basement dancefloor packed with a sweaty mass of vacayers. Drop this one deep in a set and watch the dancefloor transcend to a new state of consciousness. Sub Focus feat. Alice Gold - Out the Blue (XXXY Remix) Pure class... You can't [...]

Sub Focus ' newest single has been around for nearly 2 months and we're only just now getting the opportunity to make it our own. "Out The Blue" is a beautiful drum n' bass tune defined by powerful synth breakaways and coated bass kicks. Really impressed with this newly re-brightened Sub Focus sound, we can only assume he'll be holding onto it and exploring it deeper for his upcoming full album. The remixes are also great, Laidback Luke, XXXY, and Xilent (ordered by favoritism) make their renditions unique to their own styles and as a result, they are as different [...]

Just like my week so far, this weeks edition of Dubstomp Wompday comes fast and furious on the heels of another wild weekend. And the tunes jam-packed into this one are about to make humpday that much more satisfying. This weeks post starts off slowly with a forthcoming crowd pleaser from Sub Focus, a smooth [...]
We'll be honest, after Luke released a handful of forgettable remixes, we got worried for a minute. We couldn't really blame him - topping tracks like "Timebomb" and "Dirty Talk" is no easy feet. Luckily his recent releases have been nothing short of perfection; "Trilogy" is jaw-droppingly produced and "1,2,3,43 with Martin Solveig and Chuckie is the sort of high-energy, tribal track we've been waiting for. On his remix of Sub Focus's "Out the Blue," Luke meshes the groaning, sawtooth synth of the original with his own high-energy style - creating a dubstep on amphetamines vibe that is as equally [...]
Here's Ram Records' artist Sub Focus' new single Out Of The Blue featuring vocal from Alice Gold. It's good to hear him back after a year away from production. Looking forward to the album.

Sub Focus feat. Alice Gold - "Out The Blue" Let's go swimming!

In case you missed out on XXXY this past week at our Signal event, get a taste of what you would have heard and listen to his classic House infused remix for Sub Focus . Sub Focus - Out The Blue (feat. Alice Gold) (XXXY Remix)

xxxy was officially given the stems by Sub Focus to rework his track 'Out The Blue' featuring UK singer Alice Gold (who you may know via our acoustic session with her). This is Alice Gold in a whole new light and it works really well and xxxy continues to deliver top sounds.
One of the biggest names in Drum and Bass, Sub Focus , is back with a new track. "Out The Blue" is a classic feel-good Sub Focus tune with rolling drums, 80s-esque synth lead and a heavy bass element. English singer-songwriter Alice Gold provides vocals which complement the track nicely. "Out The Blue" premiered on Annie Mac's Radio One show Friday night and is now available to listen in full quality on the UKF Drum & Bass Youtube channel . This comes out on April 29th and is something that you should definitely check out! Via: Facebook [...]

This London duo are about as hard to pigeon hole as we imagine it is to physically squeeze an actual pigeon into an actual hole. As you know, The Recommender usually deals in cutting edge music, so you may be wondering why they're appearing on here, seeing as they've been floating around since 2009. That's understandable, but in all honesty they're one of those bands that feels like they've established a foothold on the underground music scene without actually releasing much original work to date. One search on the Hype Machine and you'll see a reasonably [...]

It's the end of summer and it's time to buy new stationary and go back to school. Booo! Skool sucks man! Although having not been at school or university for five years now, and the weather never getting above mediocre at best the past few months, I guess it really makes literally no difference to me. Still, I'm waiting (dreaming) for the day when my office breaks up for six weeks in the summer. One day... Aside from the big news that I'm no longer a student and don't enjoy obscenely long holidays, the other news is what's [...]
Here's the video for 'End of the World', taken from Alice Gold 's debut album 'Seven Rainbows' released in July. The lovely Alice answered some questions for us recently as well as the TGTF Quickfire Questions : you can read all her responses here. Click here to view the embedded video.

A strange one, this. Classified, I suppose, as a one-day festival, Live from Jodrell Bank (or, to give it its other name, Transmission_001) is a shiny new annual event - or that's the plan, at least - to showcase some of the world's best bands under the shadow of the Lovell telescope, the world's third largest radio telescope. For the first ever Transmission, the organisers pulled out all the stops - some terrific acts were on display, both new and old, all universally in awe of the immense dish above them, and all perfectly fitting (be it coincidentally or purposefully) [...]

The only way to understand Glastonbury properly is to take part in it. For three days, CoS Senior Staff Writer Tony Hardy breathed the Somerset air, battled rain, mud, and sun and managed to see the bands you can read about below. It's really a snapshot but one that we hope gives you a flavor of the richness of the place and might encourage you to make the trip when the festival returns in 2013. That's right, it's taking a break next year while the London Olympics take center stage and the Glastonbury pastures recover from this year's human invasion. [...]

The lovely Alice Gold will be releasing her debut album, 'Seven Rainbows', next Monday (4 July) so we took the time to ask her some questions about the new release and of course give her the TGTF Quickfire Questions. We talk to the singer/songwriter about NME's comparing her to two past greats of rock. And would you envision Miss Alice running around the woods, taking care of trees? No? Read on... NME called you "part Joan Jett, part Tina Turner" - do you agree with this? [...]
