Layne Staley died 6 years ago today of a heroin overdose and his rotting corpse was found 2 weeks later. What a sad way for a talented singer, frontman, and one of the most influential men of late '80s / early '90s metal and grunge to go. Amy, Hailey, and I spent the weekend up in beautiful Minneapolis, Minnestoa visiting friends we haven't seen in quite awhile.
