Sooner Or Later mp3 All of Us/None of Us Beggar My Neighbour, .... buy it! This EP haunts me, and October is the perfect month to introduce it to you. Sometimes music sits in my inbox for weeks months and I listen to it after finding it buried in a forest of emails that I've not answered or filtered through yet. Sometimes I listen to it for a few more weeks months and then finally let you all in on it. Naughty, [...]

Ah, yes Black Friday is finally here. That eagerly anticipated shopping day when normal everyday shoppers act out their Kill Bill fantasies by going into Shopper-With-Insane-Look-In-Ey es-Is-Locked-On-The-30%-Off-DV D-Player-And-Will-Trample-You- To-Get-It mode. At 4:00 in the morning. While guzzling a Starbucks Frappa-Latte-something. And charging it on that 29% APR Chase card they bitched to everyone in creation about. And must not forget it's "Happy Holidays", not "Merry Christmas"; don't offend the PC crowd (I guess they're okay with "Black Friday"). Let's try and mellow them out with some music... • • • • A nearly perfect folk-rock [...]

Weaponize Our Love mp3 All of Us/None of Us .... buy it Remember that cool band I told you about All Of Us/None Of Us ? Back in March they sent me their EP Arcane and Able and it wow'd me. The guitar solos were hot and searing. I said they had a lot of potential and I'm still looking forward to their new EP (anticipated for January). This little single is released separately from that project and it hit my mailbox yesterday. When I [...]

I know, Friday is supposed to be "new music" day around here but as much as I'd like to follow some sort of schedule, it ain't happening that way! So best intentions aside, here are a few new songs that have caught my ear of late. Spain Colored Orange -- "Who Am I" mp3 off Sneaky Like a Villain ( buy ) I am most definitely a sucker for a swinging horn bit and this sucks [...]

I was listening to the 90s on 9 channel on Sirius/XM last weekend (love those old awful countdown shows) and I was reminiscing to the fact that nobody seems to make songs quite in the same way Filter, Wide Mouth Mason, Barenaked Ladies, Treble Charger , and bands of their ilk did so well. You know the type of song I'm talking about; loosely based on the loud/soft/loud grunge formula, lubed up with a touch of light-hearted lyrical styling, and lots of funky bass. And Shawn M. Smith (your friendly neighborhood Radio Exile editor), who [...]

Two trained guys starting working together sending each other tapes with bits and pieces. Guitarist and singer Eric Ray (San Francisco), a graduate of the San Francisco Conservatory of Music and R Tyck (Los Angeles), hit it off in real life and their project, now called all of us/none of us , recorded a full length lucky robot . When two clever guys get together, the music often suffers because they are trying to steal each others thunder. Luckily that didn't happen and the new ep arcane and abel [...]

The uniquely-named All Of Us/None Of Us is a collaboration between guitarist/singer Eric Ray and recording engineer/college instructor R Tyck. Living in separate cities, the duo began working together by sending tapes back and forth, occassionaly making trips between the two cities and producing much of their debut album, Lucky Robot, via these very unconditional methods. Ray and Tyck decided to take their music to a live stage and recruited additional band members, cellist Catherine Cavella and drummer Courtney Olsen, and began playing in and around the L. A. area. A recent release of a four-song EP, Arcane and Able, [...]

All of us/None of us are an indie rock band from the American west coast (L.A. and San Francisco) that promises to live up to its name* of musical commitment with genuine rock spirit flecked with blues and alternative motifs. With an already critically acclaimed debut LP, Lucky Robot , under their belts, the band recently published its second EP, Arcane and Abel (also available on iTunes). Check out All of us/None of us on MySpace and their official site for [...]
California duo All of Us/None of Us is such a throwback to the 90s, I can't help but love them. Don't misinterpret that, they are their own original sound that is totally relevant today. But listening to them, I get this great Folk Implosion meets Radiohead vibe that seems like it should have been made forever ago. They released a new EP, Arcane and Abel , this past December and despite it's mere four tracks, it's a pretty strong release. I've never heard music so much the blues in so many ways. Melancholic and frustrated, fed up [...]

A fucked up email.... A curious mind.... A nagging suspicion.... All led to perhaps the find of the year thus far. Eric Ray of all of us/none of us sent off what he thought was a flurry of music submission emails to blogs. Some of you got it, I'm sure. Mine came and when I opened it, all that appeared in the message was "Hey Tart,"... Hmmm, I like a mystery maybe a little more than the next rocker chick! I hit reply to give him a good rake over the [...]
