My Vinyl Solution is simple: I'm listening to my records. As my collection has grown, I've realized that I've been spending too much time amassing lps, to the point that I have no idea of what I even own. Hence, this column . Asia - Alpha When we last left off, I was saying that the Asia album you want is the one with "Heat of the Moment" on it . Well, this is not that album. But from about [...]

(Sweat Lodge Guru, 2011) Hyper-ambient wonder-kid, Not Noah Lennox, or some couple of dudes now (people seem to be thinking ("Neither Noah Lennox?")), RxRy, finally, after three bedroom-churned bliss-outs (and some EPs)--freely distributed--can now be heard where it was appropriate he/they should be heard from all along: etched into a vinyl plate. Alpha finds RxRy perpetuating the crumbling pulse-heavy astro-electronics of previous albums, only this time with a healthy dose of ADHD. Clocking in somewhere between an EP and a full-length, Alpha is headphone candy of the brain-burstingly serene variety, in as [...]

JonWayne - Just a Minute Mixtape from dude JonWayne who's started making waves. This is a rap tape, stuff hes done over the last 2 years, but he produces too. His notes: I'm talking all over this thing so I'll keep the notes short and informative. Some tracks are official, some are not. Corner Time, Volume Two, Part One photographer unknown And I'm scared to be so heartless I'm hoping that you'll learn There's only one and that is you Gave myself to you No one can deny I'm still waiting 'til you be So content to feel Can't despise myself I'm still waiting 'til Leave me break my heart Can't control the pain I'm still waiting 'til. Talvihorros is the solo recording project of London experimental guitarist Ben Chatwin. His new LP Descent Into Delta collects five pieces of supreme guitar-based ambient works, slow-burning tracks built around vast drones and subtle noise, immense walls of stripped sound that at times may become quite a demanding yet invariably rewarding aural experience. The tracks range between three and almost ten and a half minutes, with "Alpha" in a way serving as the center piece on multiple levels with its superb, meandering soundscapes that are instantly guiding the listener into deepest contemplation. Descent [...]

We previously heard from Alpha MC when he was pushing his latest release, the Beat The Skin EP, with some slick visuals for the appropriately titled " Still Bangin' ". And now, he has come through with a pretty damn creative/also appropriately titled new joint called "Let's Get Drunk Tonight". Alpha sure knows how to name his tracks, eh? This one is just as self-explanatory as "Still Bangin'", though the subject matter is vastly different. He uses each bar to run through the alphabet using various alcoholic beverages, a trick that is both super-clever and has me wishing [...]
Bambounou is back in the land of the living, after the Animist EP. His new EP, ΛLPHΛ, is out on July 25th via Youngunz. Dark, yet paradoxically warm. Four original tracks to take you to a sexy violent place. A remix package drawn from all corners of the globe in Lunice, Teeth, Ikonika & Darling [...]

If you follow the greater LA scene, like spanning three different territories, Alpha MC's name and big ass grin might have popped up on the radar. His last release was Loving Life in '08, but he's made a guest appearances on fellow Swim Team member Open Mike Eagle's record, has a group with VeRBS called Red Foxx and gets faded with the Professor Calculus bros on the reg. Alpha breaks his album silence with the Beat The Skin EP, a 7-song EP produced entirely by Duke Westlake...

We've seen a series of mysterious, puzzling videos over the last few months. We've had a brief EP aptly titled Beta as the ultimate prequel to what was about to hit us straight in the face and blow us away this weekend. We've been blessed with two track premieres during the last couple of days to announce its arrival. Needless to say, we still don't have a clue who might be behind RxRy . But we do know that it is finally here: Alpha . Consisting [...]
Alright attention to all record labels, promo companies, radio stations and ad agencies all around the world, we're putting out an APB on this company from New Zealand called Alpha Entertainment. According to a good source who works in the local hospitality industry here in Auckland they manipulated their way by taking people's contacts without acknowledging them or the original source, misled

Casket Crash Vigil favorite RxRy just made his Alpha "microLP/megaEP" available for download at his blog. As the artist described in an interview with GIMME TINNITUS , Alpha is "comprised of samples taken from an AM radio and manipulated via midi sequencing." The resulting sounds are the most actively saturated we've heard from RxRy. They are also quite possibly his best work to date. Download Alpha here .
My bros from the popular easycore/pop band Fight Fair Spend a few minutes observing the crowd at a metal show, flipping through the pages of Decibel, or reading MetalSucks, and jot down the first words that come to your mind. If you're like me, your list will contain many of the following phrases: "low self-esteem," [...]

New track from Saht (Sahtyre) "Fux Witted" featuring Alpha & produced by Aspect 1.

W ardt van der Harst & W illem van Hanegem are back with Alpha yet another tech-trance BOMB. There's not a spark of doubt that W&W are riding the big wave these days, playing all over the world and leaving elephant-sized imprints in the minds of their fans. They've also been given huge support from Armin van Buuren who continues to spin their furiously phat beats in many of his sets; earlier this year at ASOT 450 he said "W&W are truly the rising stars of trance. If I have to put [...]
Alpha's Lost In A Garden Of Clouds was the album that got me hooked on the triphop/downtempo/lounge genres. They've been making music for a little over a decade now, but this album was one of their first fully instrumental. What I love about the album is its seamless transitions from one song to the next. [...]
Its been a looooong time since I last heard from my dude Mickey Factz (I know, I know he's been enjoying the road in his new Honda Accord). Well time is up and Mickey has blessed the internets with a new video for the track "Alpha" off his mixtape "THEDARKPHOENIX #ALPHA" which dropped a few months ago. I'm actually feeling the vibe of the video with the song. Good sh*t Mickey good sh*t. Now stop going into hiding for months on end and keep the good times (and music) rolling...sheesh.
Video is kinda hectic... im undecided... there are some elements i like, others i dont. What do u think?

Mickey Factz gives us the video for his new track 'Alpha'. The video was directed by Kwesi James and produced by Kwesi James and Alex Bittin. Shouts go out to Creative Control for continuing to produce quality videos.
