So last Friday Phara, Hermine & me went to see Amazing Baby at the Charlatan in Ghent. If I am completely honest with you I would have to say I had not listened to this band until Herlinde told us about them three weeks ago. We were, however, delighted we would see them once we had listened to their music. Later we heard we would be doing an interview with the band as well. I have to admit that me & Phara were a bit scared about the interview cause they don't seem like the easiest interviewees. [...]

If you're anything like us , you've been waiting for this Amazing Baby record for no reason except everyone keeps telling us we should care. But the wait is finally nearing an end - their much-anticipated debut album Rewild will meet the world June 23. The album picks up where their self-released EP The Infinite Fucking Cross left off. Of course, that was recorded in their bedrooms and this, well, wasn't. So brace yourself. It was produced by the band and engineer [...]

Interview and photos by Sarahana Blogs, online forums and fans alike were abuzz about Brooklyn's four-piece, Suckers , long before the release of their self-titled EP on I Am Sound Records earlier this month. Much of this was based on the strength of their live shows - though these were were mostly limited to New York - and an old four-track demo that closely resembles the new EP. That even a brief exposure to their music enables you to grasp their fresh aesthetic has probably been their greatest advantage. [...]

Hey there dear readers. Do you feel neglected? I know I haven't posted a new Snobcast in what seems like forever. I know you're all salivating for that Snobby goodness. Maybe I haven't posted a new Snobcast because I had such a good response from last month's RCRD LBL Snobcast that I chose to keep it featured. That reasoning would make sense but really I was just so caught up getting ready for SXSW that I had no time for Snobcasting. However, now I'm pleased to unveil my SXSW '09 Snobcast. So sit back, hit play, and I'll walk you [...]

I find it particularly ironic that Sirius XMU 's weekly "Download 153 playlist is nowhere to be found on the internet. Zero, zip nada. I couldn't even find a text list of the tracks, let alone a spiffy list with links to download the 15 tracks, or find out more info on the bands. Being the justice-seeking, music-listening, rule-breaking troublemaker that I am, I feel almost obsessively compelled to remedy this situation. I hereby give you the March 28th Sirius XMU Download 15 . This list took a few hours of twitter hacking and google searching. [...]
March was a mad, mad month in all of its sweat-soaked, cuckoo competitive, my-dick-is-bigger-than-yours glory-and no, the madness to which we're referring does not involve that whole college basketball playoff thing. It's SXSW mania, bitches! The 23-year-old Austin festival has ripened from a wee little anonymous Texas toddler to a full-grown star in the pop-cultural firmament whose sultry glory and ever-extending influence can only be ignored by card-carrying members of the AARP. But like the best celebrities, SXSW seems impervious to all of the attention, and has managed to maintain the spirit of a cool little indie [...]
The crowds have stumbled back home, the streets have been cleaned and the lights are out on SXSW 2009. There's nothing quite like this big party, considered to be the most intimate of music festivals. You never know who you'll be standing next while in line for a beer or rocking out with next to the stage. Even big names show up in Austin, like this year's visitors Kanye West and Metallica. Uncensored Interview chatted it up with dozens of bands in our RV this year, where we talked about everything from the questionable fashion choices from [...]
We Are The Arm - What Makes A Plaza? We Are The Arm - Loaf Time den hinweis auf das neue album ("blood from a stone", 20.04.09) wollen wir durchaus noch einmal bekräftigt wissen, wie macht man das [...]

( Roadside Graves @ Mohawk ) The last day of SXSW just came to a close and I have very few regrets. Though there were a few key shows that I missed (I can't stand waiting in lines) overall everything seemed to work out for the best. ( Mason Proper @ Mohawk ) ( Mason Proper @ Mohawk ) ( Viva Voce @ Mohawk ) ( Viva Voce @ [...]

We know you've all been planning your TX days and nights without worrying about the Levi's®/FADER Fort , because you already knew that it's all day, every day from Wednesday, March 18 through Saturday, March 21. This year we'll be holing up at a new Fort, on 1101 E. 5th Street (between San Marcos & Waller), and the only way to get in [...]
