Just when you thought the musical hologram was a dying fad , Nas brings Amy Winehouse back to life in his new video for "Cherry Wine". The track appears on Nas' latest LP, Life is Good , and features previously unreleased vocals from the late singer. In the video, Nas plays a bartender whose late night establishment is entertained by holoram Winehouse and her band. Jay Martin served as the video's director.

From reading reports on the matter, it appears that Nas and the late Amy Winehouse were pretty close. Brought together by artists like Salaam Remi, who produced their collaborative track "Cherry Wine", their distinct vocal deliveries complemented each other seamlessly. While we would have loved to see more music materialize, which we hope happens some day soon, "Cherry Wine" is one of the most bittersweet symphonies to touch down in 2012. Fourteen months after the singer died of alcohol poisoning in July 2011, her ashes were buried during a Jewish ceremony in north London. A pink-and-black headstone was revealed to the 70 mourners in attendance. The headstone, ornamented with pink writing and a songbird, also pays tribute to the the "Rehab" singer's grandmother, Cynthia Levy.
