Animal Collective recruit Shabazz Palaces to remix "New Town Burnout" from their new Monkey Been to Burn Town remix EP. Animal Collective is currently prepping the release of the Monkey Been to Burn Town remix EP, a project that will support reinterpretations by the likes of Teengirl Fantasy, Gang Gang Dance, Traxman and more. Today, though, we are supplied with Shabazz Palaces' take on "New York Burnout". Which is somehow even more dark and twisted than the original. The remix is nearly eight minutes long, twisting across minimalist production that transitions feverishly with Shabazz's abstract lyricism. Stream the remix below.
