It's been quite some while already that art-pop daydreamer Airick Woodhead has been hanging around in the Doldrums of blog culture, which automatically creates a dangerous amount of anticipation around this, his début full-length. For his is a name of quiet notoriety already: he's been around the world a couple times touring his scattily collated bits and pieces; done the prerequisite Grimes collaboration. Electronic musician Laurel Halo has announced that she'll tour Europe during April and May of this year. Among these dates is a show at London's XOYO on 25 April and a series of festival dates later that month. Boise's Trevor Powers won us over with the sparse, sincere pop ballads that made up his incredible debut LP, The Year of Hibernation . There was something in that record of a mere eight tracks that possessed a childlike wonder. Equally unintelligible and innocent, Power's vocals created a universally relatable narrative.
