Annuals: Time Stamp – The new Annuals album will not only change your life, it will save it. Time Stamp is the long awaited, five years to be exact, assemblage of some of the most high-voltage and passionate songs to ever grace your eardrums. Every song is equally as good, if not better than the previous song, leaving the album oozing with delight. Wavering along the fine line of self-deprecation, and lousy with implications far more insightful than the raging beats would lead you to believe, Time Stamp will wreck any chances of [...]

Raleigh's Annuals were a Band To Watch way back in 2006. Until yesterday, though, the group had not delivered a full-length album in nearly five years. Annuals independently released their new album, Time Stamp , on Bandcamp along with a heart-felt note documenting their hiatus. Read More...

It's been a hot minute (see: 5 years) since Annuals last released new material. The band surprised everyone by releasing their new album Timestamp on Bandcamp today with the following message for fans: This is Time Stamp. Whether it's a swan song, a comeback, or something else... Even we aren't sure. This is the first Annuals full length in nearly five years with just five songs in between, and even those songs from Sweet Sister (which were supposed to be a quick "hold-you-over") have gathered [...]
As I've mentioned before, it was the best year for the festival and next year promises to be better when considering the venues available to host. More attention from fans and media doesn't hurt either. We've compiled live video footage, embeddable streams (Bandcamp/SoundCloud only), and legally available mp3s for artists who performed this year. The Videos... SpazzFester extraordinaire, Jonathan Harris, took lots of Spazz Fest video and then proceeded to share it on Facebook/YouTube. I thought I'd compile some of the better quality videos and share here-but owe a big shout to [...]
We're about three weeks away from the kick off for Spazz Fest 4 , as it's scheduled for March 21-24. It's a work in progress, and we'll continue to update the page with details about each night and other information related to this year's Spazz Fest. This is the biggest and arguably best year of the festival, which draws attention to our growing music scene in Greenville, NC. Once again, there's a mix of local, [...]

Raleigh's Annuals started off the night. With three different kinds of percussion going on all at once, it was immediately an interesting show. They played some new songs and old, each loved just as much by their fans. The coolest part was when the lights would dim almost to blackness and the main drum kit, clear under normal lights, would glow with a green laser pointer. It would go in unison with the beat and created a really awesome effect. The left wall of the Cradle lit up with spirals and the band was illuminated by the main [...]

Few bands have a knack for producing such blooming pop landscapes as Annuals . The band have been away for a while producing their new album and dropped a new song entitled "Bother" today.. Crossing my fingers this is the piece of something bigger coming.

Friday in Raleigh marked the first full day for the Hopscotch Festival. With headliners set to take stage in the City Plaza, I started walking. From the get go I noticed that streets were way busier than they had been the night before. It seems most people viewed Thursday’s shows as a warm-up night for [...]

By C Creature Saturday night at Kings Barcade brought a packed house and good tunes from the killer line-up of headliner The Annuals , Luego and Jenna & the Jintlemen . I was super excited about Luego as I saw them a few months ago and knew they put on a good show. I had heard good things about Jenna & the Jintlemen and after meeting the lead, Jenna Smith, a few weekends ago while out with friends, I was excited to see her and [...]
