Top of the morning. With craziness of SXSW nearly a week behind us, its feels good to be home... and although I pride myself on my party prowess- I think it will take weeks to fully recover from that madness. 51 shows in four days... that has to be a record for an individual party. In the mean time (back in reality), I'm supplementing my diet with extreme amounts of caffeine and sugar. If Im diagnosed with diabetes in a week, we'll certainly know why. Its only thursday, but with the combo of caffeine and the sweet tuneage below, a [...]
The music coming out this year has been nothing short of incredible and really hard to keep up with. I'm behind at least a couple months on what has been released. With that said, I am finally getting around to writing up Beautiful Things, the latest album from one Anthony Green. It's an incredible album to say the least. Most people know Anthony Green as the front-man for post-hardcore Saosin and Circa Survive. Over the past few years, his focus has increased on his solo career. Green expands his musical chops by implementing bits of country, rock, pop and [...]

Circa Survive vocalist and former Saosin singer Anthony Green is bringing his bluesy-folk magic to the Fox Theater in Pomona on February 11th and we have tickets!

By Keeyahtay Lewis A few months back I was able to catch Circa Survive on tour and I sat down with Anthony Green for a bit beforehand. He told me then that he would be releasing a new solo album and touring on that album. "Beautiful Things" was released last week, and I head out to Bowery Ballroom on 01/19/12 to catch his solo tour. I heard a bit of the album before the show and I was excited to ...
Filed under: Video , Exclusive Photo Finish Records Circa Survive vocalist Anthony Green recently released 'Beautiful Things,' his second solo album. Although Green recorded the new collection at his wife's parent's beach house in Avalon, N.J., you wouldn't know it from hearing it. Tracks like 'Big Mistake' and 'Get Yours While You Can' ooze with layer upon layer of guitars, vocal harmonies and the wide-screened production values usually found on albums [...]
In this Y U NO REVIEW, Anthony talks a bit about the latest album releases from Common, Crosses, Enter Shikari, Kayo Dot, and Asher Roth. Here are some short opinions on other albums that were missed this past month as well: 1. Machinedrum- SXLND (LuckyMe) I think people tend to assume that every album that gets incorporated into this segment must not be that enjoyable to me or something. That's not completely the truth since there are even decent releases that I can't necessarily get to. On [...]
![[New] Anthony Green ft. Nate Ruess- Only Love](http://cdn.elbo.ws/posts/4027719_lg.jpg)
Indie favorites Anthony Green (Circa Survive ) and Nate Ruess (Fun.) have teamed up for collaboration that was long overdue. The talents meet in harmonious union on "Only Love" from Green's new solo album Beautiful Things . "I never wanted to be your only love" sings Green in the song's hook, summarizing the general tone of both vocal parts in a way that is undeniably catchy. The song is more electronic than anything I've heard from either Nate or Anthony, so it's kind of cool to see their versatility. Beautiful Things [...]
"Everything that [people] think and everything that they see and everything that they say [about me] is just make believe. It's all just made up. Most of it is just a projection of who they wish they could be and that's a shame because I spend a lot of time trying to tell people that they already are amazing. They see nothing in me but themselves." Anthony Green has made a name for himself over the course of the better part of the last decade as the wild and unpredictable front-man of some of post-punk's more buzz worthy acts, [...]
Singer Anthony Green has spent years fronting post-hardcore bands Saosin and Circa Survive. Over the past few years, he's focused increasingly on a burgeoning solo career, most recently with Beautiful Things . Across 13 tracks, Green expands beyond his roots, referencing country, pop, and even punk for an effort that demonstrates his ginormous musical breadth. Problem is, the album's a little bit of everything and not enough of any one thing. When the album's good, Green's aesthetic is refreshing in its diversity. Representing the album's main sensibility, "Blood Song" is a rag-tag homage to country, [...]

THIS WEEK'S BEST BET: The Mountain Goats w/ Nurses Saturday, January 28 The Earl - 466 Flat Shoals Avenue in Atlanta 30316 SOLD OUT! I hope you took advantage of the opportunity while it lasted because tickets for this sucker have long been gone. It seems slightly inconceivable that the same group who sold out the Bowery Ballroom in NYC for three consecutive nights wouldn't be playing a larger venue in town like, say, the Variety Playhouse or the Buckhead Theatre, but for those fans lucky [...]
Here's one way out of left field. Last night at a show in Virginia, Anthony Green did an acoustic rendition of "Seven Years" for a very appreciative crowd. I still think this is the best song Green's ever been apart of, gonna have to go spin that EP a few times now. MP3 // SEVEN YEARS

Anthony Green Beautiful Things Release Date: January 17, 2012 Record Label: Photo Finish The Flaming Lips once famously declared that all the punk rockers were taking acid. Perhaps the psych-rock outfit had supplied it back in the 90s. These days, though, it seems that all the punks are smoking dope, down on the farm, getting more in touch with their roots. That's the case anyway for Anthony Green, frontman of radio-friendly punk outfit [...]

Anthony Green has put reigns on the art of music. Formerly a member of California's Saosin and now the frontman for local area rockers Circa Survive , Green has also been releasing his own solo material since December 2005. He just dropped the full-length album Beautiful Things (his second studio album) earlier this week, which carries an independent essence with some gentle tunes while still encompassing Circa Survive's edgy vibe. Many of the tracks will leave you humming and singing along, like the catchy "If I Don't Sing" and the delicate "Love You No Matter What." [...]
