How do you fit an upright bass, an ancient pump organ, and a set of crotales in a tiny room? Whiskey. Observe. Watch the full concert at baeblemusic.com
I've never seen the 80's teen flick Some Kind of Wonderful , one of several John Hughes put together in a very prolific and commercially successful period. But I am a fan of the soundtrack, which features several relatively obscure cuts by cult artists such as Flesh For Lulu , Pete Shelley and Stephen Duffy . I recently bought the original 1987 CD for just a couple of dollars. Here's some highlights: Lick The Tins - Can't Help Falling In Love The Apartments - The Shyest Time [...]

Täna on küll sellised lood, et soovitan pilte vaadata. Ja mitte niisama suvalisi. Ikka konkreetseid, minu valitud suvalisi. Kolm linki koos näidetega, mida nende tagant leida võib: Dinosaursfuckingrobots. Dog Hates ME Ja muidugi: Daily Bunny (sest päev ilma jänkuta on nagu jänku ilma päevata) Ja et kõik oleks ikka korrektne, valisin kähku ühe muusikapala [...]
My lady and I are moving into a new place. The decision to move, search for a new apartment and actual moving all happened (and is still happening) kind of quickly. Lori and I have lived in the Ellicott Shores Apartments for close to three years now. The apartments are located right on Chautauqua Lake in Celoron. It's a beautiful location, but there have been complications and quirks that have come as a trade-off for such a quality view. The village of Celoron has had the owner of our apartment complex in court in [...]

I'm not sure I support this… but the sticker is so damn cute, I think I might have to start. Brilliant marketing team though, I couldn't've missed it as I pushed the crossing signal button 20 times (like that helps?) at the corner of Santa Monica Blvd and La Cienega Blvd on Saturday morning. It takes a LONG time to get the light to change and when it does, you better MOVE or you'll find yourself in the middle of 8 lanes of West Hollywood's most expensive cars and worst drivers. I just looked at an [...]

[Photo Credit: Adam Ososki] Myspace // "This Is Only The Start" [mp3] This past weekend was probably the biggest weekend of Fox Cubs ' short career, showing the band a bit of the big time with prime slots on the BBC Introducing stage at both the Reading and Leeds Festivals. August has been a busy month for the five-piece, as they've been splitting time between the stage and the studio working on new tracks. "This Is Only The Start" [...]
(Toronto) A couple months ago I heard a Spy Machine 16 song. I liked it. I emailed the band. They sent me a CD. Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtle propaganda was glued to the envelope. Please, keep reading. These kids from down the road in Guelph can bust it out. I like Guelph. Whenever I think of it, I am reminded of the cool, hippy, lesbian girls at the Cornerstone who never wanted to flirt with me on my weekly delivery trips. I [...]
We finally arrived in New York last night. We are currently in the process of assembling several pieces of poorly constructed furniture. We should have dependable internet access by tomorrow (i.e. posts should resume shortly!). Thank you for your patience. Pictures of the apartment coming soon. Rahawa
by bucky Make Believe was initially a touring version of the band Joan of Arc. Yet another interesting band to be based in Chicago. This track is eclectic and great. SMALL APARTMENT PARTY EPIPHANY BY MAKE BELIEVE:
1. Apartment One piece of advice I think I am allowed to give is that when you're trying to make up a name for your band, try to make it something that's not too generic. Considering the power of the internet these days, you want your band to be the first hit on search machines. But [...]

Apartment - My Brother Chris "The will to live, the will to sing" To end this stellar week of music (not to toot my own horn, because it actually has been quite stellar, yes?) and to keep with the 80's theme that has unintentionally sprung up the past few days, I've got a great song from English band Apartment. They haven't gotten nearly as much success as they deserve, and I think an urgent [...]

Woo hoo! For the first time ever, Chuck 's excellent music selection was favored over Gossip Girl . I guess episode 3 was a downer for GG. I'm getting pretty excited over GGvC, I am getting lots of emails because of it. Don't Stop That! I love getting mail. Episode 4 kind of blows, musically, on Gossip Girl's side, Chuck on the other hand is great. Short and sweet. It may only have 3 songs, but they are perfect for the character and the episode itself, if I remember correctly. I recommend Apartment's "Fall [...]
If you spent the last few weeks tucking into boxes of Terry's All Gold while indulging in some much needed exercise over endless penalty shootouts on Fifa 2008 you may have noticed this little gem hove into ear view. Despite being about the catchiest thing on the planet in all of 2007 it seems it will take some pixelated footballers from 2008 to bring it to prominence. Apartment are a 4-piece
