Thanks to constant airplay on Sirius XM's Alt Nation, the band sold 45,000 downloads of their single, "Trojans", as an unsigned band while using TuneCore to market their single. Australia's Atlas Genius sounds quite a bit similar to Phoenix, and their first single "Trojans," a power pop sound with a driving bassline, shimmering guitars and and extremely catchy hook. Atlas Genius are from Adelaide and make bright indie pop. Over the past few months they have gained a huge online following - without the support of Triple J, which for an Australian band is pretty unheard of. It is particularly admirable considering that music from Adelaide rarely gets Australian attention (with the exception of Leader Cheetah, Fire!
