Black Sabbath have announced a date at Belfast's Odyssey Arena on Thursday, 12th December in support of their new album. 13 will be the first Sabbath album to feature original vocalist Ozzy Osbourne since 19782s Never Say Die! and will be released in June. This week sees the release of Amok , the debut album by Thom Yorke's much-heralded Atoms for Peace project. The album sets Yorke with an unlikely cast of collaborators: Flea, long-time producer Nigel Godrich, REM drummer Joey Waronker, and a Brazilian multi-instrumentalist by the name of Mauro Refosco. They're a supergroup, basically, no matter how much Yorke decries the term. I can't quite put my finger on Cold Hiker, and that's not usually something I have a problem with when it comes to alt rock.
