Canadian electronic-classical outfit Austra returns to North America, bringing their pulsating, synth-driven beats to audiences once again this summer. Vocalist and composer Katie Stelmanis will be joined on the road by her incredibly talented crew of musicians, including drummer Maya Postepski, bassist Dorian Wolf, keyboardist Ryan Wonsiak, and the beguiling vocalist twins, Sari and Romy Lightman. Trust, a Toronto-based duo consisting of Robert Alfons and Maya Postepski (Austra), released recently at Arts & Crafts their full lenght debut TRST. This was the last stop during JUNOfest . I made a decision after the show at Mavericks. Went up to Ritual to catch Austra and Diamond Rings ' (DJ set) set. With alot of people I know texting me that they were at Ritual and couldn't get into Mavericks. I was lucky to get into the venue but it wasn't crazy pack but there was alot of people. Surprised to see Simon and Taylor of Timber Timbre there. Who knew Taylor was into "dance music". [...]
