This Saturday we revisit this absolutely fabulous edit of The Beatles' "Tomorrow Never Knows" by London producer Jonathan Moore, aka Leftside Wobble . He has some pretty good reasons to revisit it too: "Firstly Greg Wilson featured it in a 'Festival Anthems' selection he recently uploaded to Mixcloud , and secondly it was featured in the closing scene and credits to this weeks episode of Mad Men ("Lady Lazarus"). The combined effect meant that a fair few people have been downloading the version I uploaded here 3 years ago (which [...]

Here's another great edit from Mindless Boogie archives. Back in 2009, Rove Dogs released a 12" vinyl with three disco edits, which also featured their splendid rework of Eberhard Schoener's "Why Don't You Answer?" (with Sting on vocals), entitled "Why Don't You Dub?". Now, thanks to Smile Recordings , we can share this edit as a free download. Download here [mp3] or here [wav]

Another Saturday night, another "Edit To Remember". This time we share with you an excellent edit of Womack & Womack's 1983 classic song "Baby I'm Scared Of You" by the amazing Mark E . Sublime! Womack & Womack: "Baby I'm Scared Of You" [Mark E Edit] Download here

Here we go again. For this Saturday's "An Edit To Remember" series we pick an old edit from our favorite Cosmo Vitelli . Here's his edit of Sacha Distel's "Le Bateau Blanc". It still sounds great! Download here

"About to do it bigger than a kid's imagination." Cali Cush is a new artist out of L.A. and today they sent over his first single, "Automatic". The song is produced by Jahlil Beats, and is a solid cut. I'm interested to see where Cali Cush can go from here. Jahlil Beats on the first single is a great introduction. Check it out below. Cali Cush: "Automatic" (prod by Jahlil Beats)

Last spring Larry Tiger took some time off from Tiger & Woods to play alone and to release a four-track EP "Alone On The Green" on Editainment. Our favorite pick from this excellent release was his superb edit of Clyde Brown's 1972 classic song "Your Wish Is My Command", entitled "Eagle". It's spring again, and we find ourselves rolling on the green to the sound of this great tune. Come, join us. Larry Tiger: "Eagle" Download here
Ghidra - The Automatics King Ghidorah. His exploits put into lyric form. Songs like these write themselves, really, but way to go Automatics for wanting to pay tribute to their favourite kaiju. Or perhaps their most feared.

Another Saturday, another "Edit To Remember". Thanks to Cosmic Kids and their latest amazing mixtape "CK Phase 23 , we have one more reason to remember and play again and again this mellow and wonderful balearic rework of Lucio Battisti's classic song "Amarsi Un Po" by Luca C & Brigante . After it was released almost two years ago on Double Drop label, "Lucio" still brings sunshine into our lives. Here comes the sun. Luca C & Brigante: "Lucio" Download [...]
After becoming a bit of an internet sensation over recent months, young producer, singer and songwriter @ohronikagirl has created some adorable disco pop records and this latest piece of material is no exception. It seems that she has been leading the cyclical charge for the 802s re-invention of popular music. Ronika has her latest release 'Automatic' hitting the digital stands and is quickly becoming noticed for her clean, crisp production and clear, refined vocals. Better than Madonna ever [...]

This Saturday's "An Edit To Remember" sounds like a prefect interlude between spring and summer. So here is an unreleased edit of Niagara's 1990 hit single "Pendant Que Les Champs Brûlent" by the amazing French duo Get A Room! . Get Aragain... Download here [mp3] or here [wav]

Every Saturday night we take a ride down the memory lane and fill up our tanks with some great edits that we'll always love. Tonight's "An Edit To Remember" is Pete Herbert's stunning re-edit of Claudja Barry's slinky ballad "Love For The Sake Of Love", which was released two years ago. We park our car "At Claudia's"... Pete Herbert: "At Claudia's" Download here

Frankly, we are quite disappointed of Madonna's new album "MDNA". So we try to find the DNA of the Queen of Pop in some of the many disco edits of her classic songs. This Saturday's "An Edit To Remember" is Classixx's superb rework of "Lucky Star", which was released one year ago as "Fortunate Star". So Classixx! Madonna: "Lucky Star" [Classixx Edit] Download here

This Saturday's edit is a lifetime favorite. When it was first released two years ago on Marcos Cabral and Jacques Renault's label On The Prowl it became an instant classic. This epic twelve minute edit of New Edition's 1986 song "Once In A Lifetime Groove" by Marcos Cabral and Shux still sounds like the perfect soundtrack for the upcoming warm days of summer. That gives us more than one reason to remember it... Marcos Cabral & Shux: "Lifetime Groove" Download here

It's hard to write about a new lady singer without slipping into lazy Madonna/Kylie/Gaga comparisons. Just as well then that Ronika has an identity of her own, and a name equally as obtuse. Of course, those in blog land will probably not think of Ronika as a new artist at all. Her name has become synonymous with pop excellence for quite some time now. It just feels that new track 'Automatic' could really be the start of a campaign to launch her off the internet and into the wider world's ears. Wrap your malleus, [...]
Ronika's new single 'Automatic' gets the remix treatment courtesy Lovers & Gamblers - they strip out the originals retro-funk aesthetic and replace it with plenty of house-keys, funky strings and hand-claps - turning into a decent cut of shiny urban house.

This Saturday's "An Edit To Remember" takes us back almost three years ago. It was summer of 2009 when we first discovered Belgian nu-disco outfit Villa through their excellent three-track EP "Diva Edits" on Mindless Boogie. Since then a lot of things has happened. We still love this sublime re-edit of Agnetha Fältskog's "Wrap Your Arms Around Me". So here's something to remember... Mindless Boogie: "Agneta" [Villa Edit] Download here

"The song is a self-confessed summer jam, inspired by the groove-driven sounds of Prince or Daft Punk, together with the early hip-hop strut of Tom Tom Club (or even Blondie's 'Rapture')." Our favorite she-popper Ronika has released her latest single 'Automatic' which will see daylight on April 9th. 802s lovers rejoice and break out those old dance moves to the self written and produced track below. Ronika - Automatic
She's back, she's back. The Madonna of the midlands Ronika has been unusually quiet during 2012 - but she back with a bang with her new single 'Automatic'. It's easily her finest work to date, seeing her flying solo as she has both written and produced the track. Looks like the time spent at the RBMA wasn't wasted on her one bit. Pointer Sisters. Nothing wrong with that.
