So we are all a little fed up with this on-going obsession the film industry has with Superheroes. It may just be a sign that writers are suffering from a lack of creativity or that the movie execs really feel they are filling the needs of the market, but regardless the fact that we are now in a position where there is ANOTHER Spiderman coming out is a little disconcerting (I hated the Tobey Maguire and Kirsten Dunst series of movies, and thankfully we are looking at some serious improvements with Andrew Garfeild as Peter Parker and Emma Stone as Gwen [...]

As a general rule, I don't do superhero movies. Not anymore. As a kid, I read my big brother Jeff's X-Men and Fantastic Four comics, mostly because I wanted to be as cool as I thought he was, and it gave us a common interest, two more things to talk about. Usually I didn't actually know what I was talking about, but I did think a black and blonde superheroine (X-Men's Storm) was pretty cool, and the "death" of good girl Jean Grey and her apparent rebirth as bad girl Dark Phoenix was as good as [...]

With all of the Avengers hype and anticipation I decided to take a step back  from that and focus on something else... So I began to think about all of superhero movies that have been made, remade, revamped and given a sequel and/or prequel within the past decade or so. Though there are dozens of them,there are a few we have yet to see, and probably with good reason. Though there are those that have slipped through the cracks... i.e. Green Lantern.
