The Concacaf World Cup qualifying games have started and although I would never wish for El Salvador to beat my dearest Seleccion Azteca , their Capital does share the name of one of the greatest Disco tracks of all time. This is one of my favorite italo records. It was released to Vedette Records in 1979 with subsequent releases on Rams Horn and a 1981 re-release on Carrere and CNR. Azoto was first known as " Lucrethia And The Azoto 14,008." Azoto was produced by Celso Valli, who produced and arranged many italo classics such as personal favorites: Self Control by RAF and Walking in the Neon by Peter Richard. The Myra Barnes track was found on an album called "James Brown's Funky People" - clearly he had the credentials to assess who was funky or not judging by the video.
