B-Ju sounds a lot like Hamburg's answer to Obey City , combining instrumental hip hop with footwork rhythms and lush 80s synth lines. Prozac People is his second release on the German/Italian imprint Error Broadcast , and they've recruited some well respected producers - including Donky Pitch 's 813 and Monkeytown 's eLan - to throw their own spin on his work. I love how eLan [...]

The best part of listening to hip hop isn't when you find a great song, not even a great artist - it's when you find a great collection of music. [...]

This is my favourite kind of dance music, that 2-step, garage sound that's been popular over the last few years. This time B-Ju, from Hamburg, chooses some great tracks, many aligning themselves with my own personal favourites. Download here .

Dirtybird was launched in 2004 and between then and now has risen to become one of the most respected and consistent Dance Labels in clubland. Although technically speaking there have been more than 50 releases when you take into account secret releases and remix EP's, this is still a landmark moment and one that should be saluted by anyone who has a genuine love for dance music and its abiding and evolving existence. This release is another solid highlight in Dirtybirds history and if you like your tech-house rolling, full of percussion and groove then this is essential listening. [...]

For this installment, we get a more beat driven, downtempo affair, not something we would expect from one of the main components of the Ed Banger crew. Krazy Baldhead shows his diverse taste, with a mixture of not only electro house bangers, but beats from Gold Panda and B-Ju. What makes it even more special is that he somehow manages to take such opposite ends of the spectrum, in terms of tempo, and blend them together with such style. And the climax is Hey from the Pixies, could it be any better?

Here's some chills hip hop I've been listening to these past couple of days.. for some reason they only seem to do it for me past 12 am. So I'm throwing on some B-Ju and Comfort Fit from Bag of Nothingness, if you haven't checked out that album then you best get on that. Let me warn you before you take a listen, the Philly Run bass line will be stuck in your head for quite a bit. We also got more of those juicy and heavy bassy beats from Slumgullion... never gets old. B-Ju - [...]

As I bight into my freshly made peanut butter & jelly sandwich (nostalgia 101), the beat producer gone house enthusiast sits at his bedside awaiting his 3:00 am slumber while chatting with me about his recent release with San Francisco based label dirtybird , his past involvement with music, and a brief intro into his bedroom production tools. B-Ju has also provided us with a downloadable mix featuring all sorts of bits and bops. Full tracklisting [...]

Claude VonStroke's record label, dirtybird records , has released a fantastic new EP titled New Blood . This EP features new, budding artists B-Ju and Eric Volta . New Blood features two dynamic Minimal tracks, each with their unique flavor. B-Ju puts the House in Tech House with his track, My Sneakers . My Sneakers is much heavier, fuller and more original than most Minimal tracks out there. A must have for any and all warm-up DJs. Next we have Eric Volta's DJango , a tropical [...]

Does everyone hates BEP since Fergie joined it? You got enuff of Boom Boom Pow ? You read a thousand times one line of that track on your momma's facebook wall? You're sick of that tune and it's million pitches? You switch the channel if you see the first screens of the clip? You shake your head of other reasons than buzz? You insult anyone in your native language, if that track is running in your favourite club? But if you're into current Fidget-, Electro- [...]

Yesterday @ tokafi mentioned two of our favourite netlabels Zymogen and 12Rec has founded a new label called Error-Broadcast and they've released their first label compilation called Bag of Nothingness that spans across 17 songs of abstract, instrumental hip-hop. This one has three sub-styles more or less, deep and jazzy ones with strings and stuff, bleepy new school Flying Lotus / Samiyam style and more glitchy almost IDM ones. I've listened to it twice to select my best, but you can skip and go directly for the headshot, because [...]

( B-Ju + Soular) I usually don't listen to mixes anymore. B-Ju sent me his " Played Out " mix last year sometime and it was one of the best mixes I had heard in 2008. Recently, he sent me another mix and I'm pretty sure that this guy was born to DJ. Aside from his acute mixing ability, here are some of his accolades: Official Rane Team member, World Star DJ Euro Champions 2008 winner, German DMC Team Champs 2008 winner, and Coke DJ-Culture Winner 2007 winner. I need not say more? No. [...]

B-Ju got a banana B-Ju shares a sofd mini-mix, which entertained us so hard, that 20 minutes became 3 hrs, caused by heavy-rotation-syndrome. Some transitions got their petite rough edges. Might be the reason for it's charming behavour inside the speakers. B-Ju: A gorgeos-looking choice of tracks. Played Out! 1.5 is satisfying and yummy! zShare: B-Ju - Played Out! 1.5 Fly 2 Sahara three 4 tracklist: show 1. Faker - [...]

Here some Soundcloud submissions and stuff I've gotten. Check 'em out. A DatA remix by B-Ju , a mash-up by Skitsnygg (!?), a cover by the marvelous Cyndi Seui , a Bass & Treble remix of NONEWYORK, a FrapFrapFrap remix of The Horrors. A remix of Grum's woah by the much loved Bicycle Day from Istanbul Turkey. mp3: DatA - Rapture (B-Ju Remix) mp3: Mr. Oizo Vs. Proxy - Bruce Willis Dead [...]
German boys are somewhat of a lucky lot these days. We mean, sure they're a few generations removed from those other famed "youths" and we may find it hard to dismiss any denotation from just "being German", but we'll be damned if they're not all pumping out interesting music these days. This crew from Frankfurt called B-Ju live up to this assessment with these two remixes, reworking both a Parisian in DatA and a Swede in Little Jinder . The datA track, which features the vocals of Sebastien Grainger (of DFA1979) is clippy and spiked [...]
