A lot of people were still doubting that Beyonce was ever pregnant at all. There was the mysterious collapsing baby bump, and then just a few weeks after giving birth she was practically back to Survivor shape. But baby Blue Ivy Carter is the real deal! Look at all that hair! Daddy Hov with B.I.C. A star is born. More photos at Life+Times

"Melodic tunes that frankly just hit the spot..." Having steadily gained attention while blitzing the summer festival circuit last year and occupying some standout opening slots for The Kaiser Chiefs and The Kooks it is quite obvious to see that Camden four-piece Tribes are boasting quite a lot of potential. The recent release their debut album Baby saw them wholeheartedly realise it. There's something of a nineties Britpop feel to Tribes and that's absolutely no criticism; they have a strong, guitar-based indie flag to fly with a troop of melodic tunes that [...]
Tribes have released their debut full-length album 'Baby' overseas and are set to release it here in the USA come March. I have recently streamed and listened to all the tracks multiple times and I tend to keep coming back to this particular track titled 'Alone Or With Friends'. First off the album is just fantastic as all 11 songs work so well together, which makes for my favorite album of 2012 so far. 'Alone Or With Friends' has a very relaxing, take a step back and just enjoy the song approach. The song has a [...]

Guitar music is dead....or so the papers say. As we move into 2012 every music publication is waiting for the next big guitar band, the next Libertines or Arctic Monkeys, a band that can change the landscape of music, a real 'game changer' and Tribes have been atop many peoples list including my own. But are Tribes really the saviour of the British guitar band? Read more..
![REVIEW: Tribes - Baby [LP]](http://cdn.elbo.ws/posts/4017430_lg.jpg)
By Chris Gedos A lot of great things have already been said about Tribes' Baby , which was released digitally and in the UK on January 16th. Here's another English band that's easily mistaken as American. Globalization has erased many of the boundaries in our arts, to the point where a band doesn't immediately disclose themselves as English (Joy Division), Irish (U2), or American (REM) as they did 30 years ago. Tribes' most autochthonous moment, "Corner of an English Field", is no "Village Green Preservation [...]
This week in the NYC concert scene, we've got moe. doing a record release show, Rubblebucket and Superhuman Happiness hit the Bowery for a great double bill, we've got two nights of Zeppelin instrumental jams from our friends Bustle in Your Hedgerow, and Charles Bradley will bust out his James Brown tribute "Black Velvet." Read [...]

Tribes - Baby By Jiten Karia Tribes , the guitar band representative of this year's Next Big Things, swing a hefty bag of hype as they release their debut album Baby . Popular with The Mystery Jets and Zane Lowe amongst others, and having supported The Pixies, the Camden four-piece are now boldly, and worryingly, about to make a splash on the music radar. The last few years haven't been particularly kind to such bands with supposedly promising groups like The Drums and Delphic disappearing [...]
None of the six tracks on this EP from The Babies , the Woods/Vivian Girls side project, feel like a complete thought, and certainly none of them resemble anything ready to press. But then again, that's always kind of been Kevin Morby (Woods) and Cassie Ramone's (Vivian Girls) M.O., both with their main gigs as well as-and even more so-with this project. Last year's self-titled debut was an uneven collection of rootsy, lo-fi indie rock that made equally strong cases for and against this partnership of Brooklyn rock royals. And unfortunately, Cry Along with the Babies doesn't [...]

Here is our round-up of the best new tracks and releases we've collected from our in-box, our favourite blogs and the internet. This time we have the the sultry and gently hypnotic folk of Cate Le Bon , the raucous, boozy new track from John McCauley's latest roots supergroup Diamond Rugs , the brilliantly hypnotic and menacing track from experimental folksters Lower Dens , more enchantment and swirling, celestial folk from Julianna Barwick , some perfect Primitives style indie jangle from Strawberry Whiplash , and for contrast the brooding, gothic indie of [...]

The album from The War On Drugs from last year was in our opinion, one of the best records released during 2011. It's a record that is easy to put on the turntable and just let the whole thing play out. Well, the band has kicked the new year off in a big way as well, releasing the tune "Baby Missiles" from Slave Ambient as a single, and performing the song last night on Late Night with Jimmy Fallon. With the help of ?uestlove on a second drum kit, and some fans in the background, [...]

I feel like a slouch now. After my daughter was born, I didn't write a song for her, although I improvise when trying to put her to sleep. Typically doing old Dre songs in the form of showtunes She's ten months now, is it too late to write a song dedicated to her? Blue Ivy will have "Glory" for the rest of her life from her big poppa, 'Hova. BTW, Ivy is one talented baby. She's not even one month and she's already mastered the art of tweeting . Jay-Z ft. B.I.C. [...]

The Babies (Kevin Morby and Cassie Ramone) have released a track from their new EP Cry Along With The Babies . The new track is "Trouble", but it's really not that new. The EP is a mix of demos and outtakes, so while you're hearing a stripped-down version of "Trouble" on Cry Along With The Babies , you can hear a re-recorded version on the "Teenage Teardrops" single. GLORY! GLORY! The day has come. The ever-talented couple of Beyoncé Knowles and Jay-Z welcomed a baby girl into the world on Saturday. Her name, Blue Ivy Carter , a name similar to those chosen by the couple's best buds, Chris Martin of Coldplay and Gwyneth Paltrow. Now, two days later Jay-Z has posted a new song to celebrate B.I.C.'s arrival. Jay's song, "Glory," finds the hov' overflowing with joy. You can hear his emotion pour through each line. He's giddy, he's thankful, and he's 'mushy'. Who the hell wouldn't be? Apparently, there may have [...]

new rumours in that the BEYONCE has just given birth to a baby girl at New York's Lennox Hill Hospital. to be continued. and as i post this, DEJA VU came on. wotyougot

Beyonce - FN If new reports are to be believed, Beyonce and her rapper husband, Jay-Z , will become parents any minute now. Sources reveal to the New York Daily News that Beyonce, under the alias " Ingrid Jackson ," has checked into Lenox Hill Hospital to prepare for the birth of her first child. While hospital staffers did confirm to the paper that a patient under the name of Ingrid Jackson is currently in a labor room, it hasn't exactly been confirmed that this is in fact the pop [...]
