Splendour In The Grass 2013 has brought many good things to us already; a stellar lineup, a three day holiday, getting us in touch with nature (unless you're cheating and aren't actually camping) and a pool of sideshows. Where we've already been told of extra Australian performances outside of the festival from acts such as  Jake Bugg ,  Fidlar ,  James Blake ,  Wavves ,  Haim and  Daughter , we can add to this monster of a list with the UK's  BABYSHAMBLES ! Babyshambles, Maceo Plex, Owiny Sigoma Band, Karocel and Manomana have been announced for Germany's Melt! Festival . They’ll join the likes of Atoms For Peace, Alt-J, James Blake, Disclosure, Everything Everything, MS MR, Mount Kimbie, The Knife, Rudimental, Local Natives, King Krule and more, with additional artists still to be announced. The festival takes place from 19th-21st July in Ferropolis, Germany. The line up so far and ticket details can be found here .

Babyshambles have announced an autumn tour spanning two months. Heading out at Glasgow Barrowlands on September 4th, and finishing at the Bournemouth Academy on the 21st October, the band will play Brixton Academy in London on September 14th. These are the first UK dates since the band played in November 2010. They have also announced they will play Le Zenith in Paris on October 3rd. Los Babyshambles en vivo en Paris el pasado 6 de abril Los Babyshambles actualmente trabajan en su tercera producción de estudio de la mano del productor  Stephen Street . El pasado fin de semana el grupo se presentó en Paris, en el bar  La Fontaine , donde tocaron una canción nueva llamada "Dr. No (Sharks in the Water)". La alineación actual de la banda cuenta con  Adam Falkner como nuevo baterista y continua con  Mik Whitnall ,  Drew McConnell ,  Stephen Large  y John Robinson .

Work has been intense for the past couple of weeks, but this new Carl Barat (former Libertines co-front man with Pete Doherty) demo has just been released (see below) and I had to share my excitement! Remember when Kate Moss was hanging out with Pete Doherty? Of course you do. What you might have forgotten was at the time Pete was more-or-less in a band called Babyshambles who put out an album.
