Self-titled albums are one thing. But when a band names one of its songs after itself - or, alternately, when a band names itself after one of its songs - it's a pretty big deal. The song itself comes off looking something like a mission statement, an encapsulation of everything that the band means. Back in November, I wrote about the three-night So Cal Punk Rock festival GV30 that Goldenvoice promoter Gary Tovar was planning in December. Well, GV30 happened two weeks ago, and I'm sharing some clips below from the show. Bad Religion will be playing 2 more shows in Australia this February, in addition to the previously announced Soundwave festival dates. To celebrate the 50th anniversary of Amnesty International, the group has released a massive compilation called Chimes of Freedom: The Songs of Bob Dylan Honoring 50 Years of Amnesty International . The four disc compilation, featuring 75 tracks, can be streamed for free over at Amnesty's Facebook page . The album will be released on January 24th with all the profits going to Amnesty International.
