It's been a couple of years since we first saw Bad Veins, a band with only two members and a reel-to-reel recorder known as Irene, absolutely dominate at Gothamist's Moveable Hype. It's always bad news when a band has to cancel a tour. Now, Now Every Children announced on their Myspace Blog yesterday that their van had died, effectively canceling the rest of the band's shows. This includes the August 6 show at the Mercury Lounge that they were scheduled to play with Bad Veins (who will still be playing that show, by the way). Having enjoyed LA-based rock band Division Day for many years and witnessing their rise in popularity and evolution in sound has been pretty exciting. So I was ecstatic (yet unsurprised) to see them scheduled to tour through San Francisco with label-mates Bad Veins.
