I have recently forgotten about Beirut 's recent record, The Rip Tide ,and I'm mad at myself for that. Zach Condon is too talented a person to ever ignore. So I'm glad this new video for album single "Vagabond", makes me such a fan again. It is so organic and wholesome down to it's bone, and you can't help but swoon to these vocals.The wordly group gets all on their alcohol-fueled military ball mode in the visuals here. It's official, Atlanta's Balkans announced their split-up via Facebook yesterday. They didn't mention any reason, but I think it's pretty clear. All the boys are very young and still have to find out where life's taking them. Balkans was a huge step for everyone into the business and into whatever. What will the future bring? Balkans kicked off an intimate showcase at Spike Hill with a nerdy high school look that was all too endearing to pass up. They were a little bit disheveled and never quite on pitch, but their uncontainable restlessness was a charm we couldn't resist.
